Giving the people what they wanted.. right?!
No, but seriously, had so much fun writing this paper and the excuse it gave me to re-read revolutions in Narnia, as well as, better yet, the excuse to reread the Declaration (many times) and The Lion and Caspian as I worked on this.
Step 1 - issue a CFP stressing the Declaration (because America 250).
Step 2 - love Lewis and Narnia.
Step 3 - Dr. Sarah Waters delivering a Declaration reading of Lion and Prince Caspian.
Only at @ciceroniansoc.

The last few days, I and some of our @SterlingCLife Literature students have been at the @ciceroniansoc conference at Creighton. Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel on C.S. Lewis & the world, where I talked about Lewis, the Declaration of Independence, and Narnia.
Over the next three days, our Director, Dr. @srawaters if up at Creighton University at the @ciceroniansoc conference where tomorrow, she's giving a paper entitled "Lewis and Revolution" which will tackle texts as diverse as Prince Caspian and The Declaration of Independence.
Last call to submit your papers for our spring conference in collaboration with the Faith and Learning Initiative, "No Ordinary People." Submissions close today at noon!
You can email your papers to [email protected].

Today was #KansasDay, and in the midst of the snow, frigid temperatures, and a heavy teaching day, I celebrated with snatches of memories of the last year or so, and was reminded again how glad I am to call this state home. No place like it, so they say (spoiler, they're right).
