Saint Louis was a top A10 team in 2023. The thing I want to note here is how none of their successful players transferred away this summer. A now rare occurrence for mid-major producers. The best pro prospect here is OF Pat Clohisy. The staff doesn't get Ks, but do prevent runs.
College names I really like on Day 3:
RHP Ben Petschke, Samford
RHP Colson Lawrence, South Alabama
RHP Hayden Durke, Rice
RHP Ethan Bates, LA Tech
RHP Casey Anderson, USU
RHP Ethan Bell, St. Louis
RHP Chase Centela, UCF
SS Jared Sprague-Lott, Richmond
OF Nelson Taylor, Polk State
What a fantastic draft cycle. This class is chock full of great players and even better people. MLB has a bright future. I’m looking forward to watching these guys develop.

Probably a deep cut, but I really like RHP Ethan Bell out of St. Louis University. Up to 95. Sits 90-92. Outlandishly low launch w/hop. Multi-inning role. Pitches with his hair on fire. Works in a gyro slider that flashes. 43 K in 33.1 IP this season. Good Day 3 Paul Sewald type.
Reinforced by (more than) a few late insurance runs, fourth-seeded @SLUBaseball powered past No. 1 overall @SJUHawks_Base in the #A10BASE Championship second round, toppling the Hawks via a dominant 23-8 decision and clinching a berth in Friday's semifinals!
