Данас се са дубоким поштовањем сећамо свих страдалих и прогнаних током злочиначке операције хрватских војно-полицијских јединица, под називом „Олуја“, која је уједно и један од највећих егзодуса српског народа у новијој историји.

У августу 1995. године, око 250.000 Срба било је принуђено да напусти своје вековне домове, убијено је 1.904 људи, махом цивила, жена и старијих лица, док се још 612 особа воде као нестале. Њихово страдање остаје трајна опомена да злочини над цивилним становништвом не смеју бити заборављени нити релативизовани.

Република Срби��а остаје посвећена неговању културе сећања, одавању почасти невиним жртвама и залагању за истину, правду, поштовање међународног права и достојанство свих који су претрпели страдања.

Генерални секретар Министарства спољних послова Републике Србије Душан Козарев @DKozarev1984 разговарао је данас са делегацијом омладине партије Демократски сабор @DISY1976 из Републике Кипар, предвођене послаником у Представничком дому Кипра Димосом Георгијадисом @DemosGeorgiades.

Потврђени су пријатељски билатерални односи, засновани на историјској блискости два братска народа и међусобној подршци по питању виталних националних интереса, уз обострану посвећеност даљем јачању веза.

У недељу 28. јуна 2026. године у Цркви светог Лазара у Ларнаки, по благослову Његовог Високопреосвештенства митрополита Китијског Нектарија, одржана је Света литургија поводом обележавања Видовдана – једног од најважнијих духовних и националних празника српског народа.

У древном храму су се окупили Срби из свих крајева Кипра како би молитвено обележили дан посвећен Светом кнезу Лазару и косовским јунацима. Литургију на српском језику служили су отац Пантелејмон из Лимасола и отац Борислав из Пафоса, који већ дуги низ година активно доприносе духовном животу српске заједнице на острву.

Након литургије и традиционалног ломљења славског колача, присутнима се обратила амбасадорка Сузана Бошковић-Продановић, нагласивши да Видовдан превазилази историјско сећање и представља трајни симбол вере, части и борбе за слободу српског народа. Она је указала на духовну паралелу између јеванђелске поруке васкрсења и жртве кнеза Лазара, као и на значај очувања идентитета у дијаспори. Посебно је истакла блискост српског и кипарског народа кроз заједничка историјска искуства борбе за слободу, територијални интегритет и правду.

Захвалност је упућена митрополиту Нектарију на благослову и подршци, као и свештеницима Пантелејмону и Бориславу на њиховом преданом пастирском раду међу Србима на Кипру. Посебно је похваљен рад учитељице Драгане Христу, која својим ангажовањем доприноси очувању српског језика и културе међу најмла��има.

По завршетку свечаног богослужења, Амбасада је у просторијама црквене школе при Храму приредила пригодно послужење за окупљене представнике српске заједнице.

The exhibition “Applied Nostalgia: Belgrade – Nicosia” was officially opened yesterday in Nicosia at Eleftheria Square, featuring 40 photographs by 🇷🇸 photographer Nemanja Jovanović and 🇨🇾 photographer Georgios Charalambous.

Organised by @MINEIsrb, in cooperation with @MFASerbia and @SRBinCyprus, the project creates a visual dialogue between two “White Cities” (Beograd & Lefkosia) and highlights shared history, values, and European perspectives.

Opening remarks by H.E. Ambassador Suzana Bošković-Prodanović, Assistant Minister for European Integration of 🇷🇸 Mr. Marko Miškeljin, Permanent Secretary of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of 🇨🇾 Mr. George Papageorgiou, and the Deputy Mayor of Agios Dometios Mr. Constantinos Yangou underlined the importance of culture as a bridge between peoples and the strong friendship between 🇷🇸 and 🇨🇾.

Sincere congratulations were extended to the Republic of Cyprus for its successful Presidency of the Council of 🇪🇺, recognizing its leadership and commitment to the European agenda, particularly in advancing the enlargement process.

Special thanks were extended to the Deputy Ministry of Culture of 🇨🇾, Permanent Secretary Mr. George Papageorgiou and his team, @NicosiaMunicipa, the Honorary Consul of 🇷🇸 in 🇨🇾 Kypros Iliadis, Mr. Miloš Ilić, Ms. Maria Georgiou, as well as and all partners and contributors for their support and for enabling the installation of the exhibition in a public urban space, making it accessible to a wider audience.

The exhibition runs until 5 July 2026.

Ambassador of 🇷🇸 to 🇨🇾 Suzana Bošković-Prodanović participated in the panel discussion “Impactful Research and Knowledge Transfer on the Rule of Law and European Values”, held on 26 May 2026 in Nicosia, within the framework of the REUNIR event “Towards an Enlarged EU: How to Uphold Democracy and the Rule of Law?”.

The event was organized by the School of Law of the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus, under the coordination of Prof. Stéphanie Laulhé Shaelou and Prof. Steven Blockmans.

Alongside Ambassador of Ukraine to the R. Cyprus Sergii Nyzhynskyi and Prof. Christophe Hillion, the Ambassador exchanged views on the importance of strengthening the rule of law, democratic resilience, independent judiciary, as well as the effective transfer of academic knowledge into policy-making processes in the context of EU enlargement.

Ambassador Bošković-Prodanović underlined that respect for the rule of law, human rights, democratic institutions, and credible merit based accession processes remain essential pillars for safeguarding European values and stability across the united continent.

На данашњи дан 1999. године Савет безбедности Уједињених нација усвојио је Резолуцију 1244, којом су потврђени сувере��итет и територијални интегритет Савезне Републике Југославије, чији је правни следбеник Република Србија.

Као важећи и обавезујући акт Савета безбедности УН, Резолуција 1244 остаје темељ међународноправног оквира за питање Косова и Метохије. Њен значај огледа се не само у заштити суверенитета и територијалног интегритета Србије, већ и у потврди принципа на којима почива савремени међународни поредак, поштовања Повеље УН, међународног права и суверене једнакости држава.

Србија ће наставити да се доследно залаже за мир, дијалог и решавање свих отворених питања политичким средствима, уз пуно поштовање међународног права и легитимних државних и националних интереса.

On this day in 1999, the #UnitedNations Security Council adopted #Resolution1244, which reaffirmed the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, whose legal successor is the Republic of #Serbia.

As a valid and binding act of the @UN Security Council, Resolution 1244 remains the cornerstone of the international legal framework governing the issue of #KosovoAndMetohija. Its significance lies not only in safeguarding Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also in reaffirming the principles upon which the contemporary international order is founded, respect for the #UN harter, international law, and the sovereign equality of states.

Serbia will continue to advocate consistently for #peace, dialogue, and the resolution of all outstanding issues through political means, in full accordance with international law and its legitimate state and national interests.

Истовремено, најоштрије осуђујемо напад на УНИФИЛ, који је резултирао смрћу српског припадника УНИФИЛ и рањавањем још двојице припадника Привремених снага Уједињених нација у Либану из Шпаније и Ел Салвадора, након гранатирања базе УН @UN, 3. ј��на 2026. године.

Позивамо на хитну, темељну и тр��нспарентну истрагу поводом наведеног инцидента и утврђивање одговорности, као и на поштовање резолуције СБ УН 1701, међународног права и међународног хуманитарног права и заштиту безбедности мировних снага.
