One wonderful thing about co-owning the frontend code as a designer is that you can spend your afternoon building a tiny animation like this, which otherwise could have remained a boring spinner.
For my first design task at my new job, I built it directly in the product codebase and handed over the branch to the engineer who'll build on top of it.

I seem to be going back to cursor for speaking about UI in an existing codebase. Cursor just shows it so nicely that you can also over time understand how the code is written.
