For decades before 2014, the world practically mocked every Prime Minister's foreign trip as 'vanity' or 'photo-op'.

But Look at the last 24 months and try, honestly, to call this theatre.

In a world of tariffs, wars and broken supply chains, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not collecting photographs. He is building leverage. Leverage over energy, minerals, missiles, markets, technology and of course free trade agreements.

The record speaks for itself.

May 2026, UAE: a brief stop, massive yield. Strategic petroleum collaboration with ADNOC, including potential storage of up to 30 million barrels in India. A long-term LPG track for homes and industry. A Strategic Defence Partnership framework covering manufacturing, training, maritime security and cyber. A ship-repair cluster at Vadinar. Around $5 billion in announced investment into Indian infrastructure and finance.

That is energy security when West Asia is on fire and sea lanes can become pressure points overnight.

February 2026, Israel: sixteen agreements. An agricultural research and innovation centre on Indian soil. Deeper defence and technology cooperation. Cyber. R&D. Cultural and digital ties. An FTA pushed onto a faster track.

That meant technology and capability coming back to Indian farmers, Indian industry and Indian defence.

June 2026, France: the Innovation Roadmap 2030. A series of agreements across innovation, defence, space and technology. An economic-security dialogue. A mechanism aimed at doubling trade.

July 2026, Indonesia: fourteen agreements and new initiatives. BrahMos cooperation—a serious step forward for Indian defence exports. Critical minerals and rare earths. Maritime security. Space. Steel. Healthcare.

And, crucially, an attempt to reduce Chinese dominance over the materials that will decide the future of batteries, electronics and weapons.

Australia: civil nuclear arrangements opening the door to uranium supply, a Maritime Security Collaboration Roadmap, defence agreements and a growing trade relationship. New Zealand added another maritime track.

These are not souvenirs from foreign visits.

They are part of the road map for a more secure, more resilient and more self-reliant Viksit Bharat. Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Today, The New York Times published an article headlined: “Modi Is Hedging Against Trump, One Deal at a Time.”

Its central point is simple: Modi has used each foreign visit to push India’s interests in security, trade and energy.

The India-US trade talks launched in February 2025 under President Trump were expected to produce haste and concession. Duties piled up, at one point heading towards 50 percent, including a penalty linked to Russian oil.

The expectation in some capitals was simple: India would fold.

India did not FOLD.

It refused a rushed, one-sided bargain. It held its ground on reciprocal access, domestic industry and agriculture.

It bought time.

And then used that time.

While talks dragged on, Delhi built alternatives: Gulf energy security, Israeli defence technology and agricultural innovation, French industrial and technology partnerships, Indonesian minerals and missile exports, Australian uranium and maritime cooperation.

That is how a continental economy stops negotiating from weakness.

Even after the February 2026 interim move towards an 18 percent reciprocal rate, Indian negotiators continued to hold out for terms that did not sacrifice agriculture or leave India permanently worse off than its competitors.

Even news media, whose first instinct is to criticise PM Modi, started to understand the value of his initiatives. Reuters described an increasingly confident India drawing strength from new partnerships. The Wall Street Journal wrote that New Delhi’s deal-making with middle powers had strengthened its hand with Washington.

That is the point.

You do not gain respect at a difficult negotiating table by talking about old friendships.

You gain it by showing that you have choices.

Beyond the international coverage of Modi and Trump, reporting on tariffs, tensions and the unfinished trade bargain, something else is happening:

India is no longer waiting for others to solve its problems.

It is securing supply chains, energy, minerals, defence partnerships and markets first and then negotiating.

That is why India can deal with America without surrendering its interests and deal with China without being intimidated.

The world does not hand out influence.

You have to build it.

And 2026 is a brutal year in which to do so.

Energy routes are under threat. Great powers are openly transactional. China remains ambitious. America is demanding.

In that environment, speeches do not keep the lights on. Statements do not fill strategic reserves.

What does?

A Prime Minister who treats every foreign visit as work.

Modi’s personal standing with world leaders is not branding. It has strategic value for India.

It gives India access, trust and room to manoeuvre.

And the growing confidence in India abroad is not charity. It comes from agreements signed, supply chains opened, capabilities built, markets expanded and promises delivered.

This is interest-first statecraft. Relentless.

History will not remember who mocked whose boarding pass.

It will ask a harder question:

When the world became unstable, who came home with oil, minerals, missiles, technology, markets and greater bargaining power?

That work is underway.

It is unfinished.

And it is exactly the work required to secure India’s interests and India’s rightful place in a world that respects countries which have options.

A Call to Mobilize on the International Diplomatic Front Against Punjabi Colonial Domination Over Sindh.

Preamble: An Open Invitation
To the global Sindhi diaspora, intellectuals, political thinkers, social activists, professionals, and patriots across India, the Middle East, the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, Central Asia, East Asia, Africa, Australia, and every corner of the world:

As politically conscious Sindhis, you are well aware that Sindh is historically a fertile, ancient civilization defined by a multi-millennial legacy, distinct national identity, and geographic unity. However, under the unnatural state framework of Pakistan and its so-called 1973 Constitution, Sindh’s national existence, territorial integrity, homeland identity, and political sovereignty have been subjected to continuous existential threats. Today, the Sindhi nation suffers under severe political subjugation, colonial-style domination, economic exploitation, complete disenfranchisement, and profound political humiliation.

Systemic Exploitation and Resource Alienation
Sindh’s vital political, economic, and natural assets, including the Indus River, agricultural lands, maritime ports, islands, oil, natural gas, coal reserves, mineral deposits, mountain ranges, riverine zones (kacho), deserts, coastal belts, and urban real estate, remain under the unlawful occupation of Punjabi military and bureaucratic dominance.

The fundamental authority of the Sindhi nation to make decisions regarding its own native resources has been forcibly stripped away. Consequently, Sindh is being systematically alienated and dispossessed, politically and economically, from the ownership of its historic homeland and natural wealth.

Cultural Erasure and Administrative Subversion
Concurrently, structured state policies are actively deployed to weaken and erase the Sindhi language, education system, historical narrative, national identity, and thousands-of-years-old cultural heritage. There is an ongoing state conspiracy to submerge Sindh’s historic national identity into a centralized "Greater Punjab" dynamic, aimed at breaking the national existence and territorial cohesion of the Sindhi people.

Under the guise of creating new administrative divisions or provinces, a dangerous plot is being executed to dissolve the national status, homeland identity, and geographic integrity of all historic nations, merging them into a monolithic colonial apparatus. Every attempt to fragment Sindh’s historic geographical unity represents a direct political assault on the survival of the Sindhi nation and its historic homeland, an action that demands a clear, resolute national stance from every conscious Sindhi worldwide.

The Mandate of Self-Determination
At this critical historical juncture, the global Sindhi diaspora must realize, out of national consciousness and historical responsibility, that liberation from this forced, unnatural bondage is the sole viable path to guarantee the survival of Sindh’s national existence, historic homeland, territorial integrity, natural wealth, and future generations.

The Charter of the United Nations and international law explicitly guarantee the fundamental principle of the Right to Self-Determination. As an ancient, historical nation, the Sindhi people view the right to freely determine their political future as an inherent, historical, and political entitlement.

Therefore, advancing organized diplomacy on the international stage and demanding a free, fair, and transparent referendum under the direct supervision and mediation of the United Nations and the international community constitutes the legitimate, lawful political demand of the Sindhi nation. Self-determination is an inherent right; we seek to exercise this right specifically to achieve the independence of Sindhudesh.

Formation of the "Sindhudesh National Restoration Council"
To fulfill this historical necessity and achieve this overarching national objective, conscious Sindhis, patriotic intellectuals, political and social activists, legal professionals, journalists, writers, scholars, youth, women, students, and professionals across the globe must unite under a unified, organized, and powerful international body:

Sindhudesh National Restoration Council
This Council will organize and mobilize the global Sindhi diaspora against political oppression, colonial subjugation, economic exploitation, and existential threats facing Sindh. Its primary mandate is to formulate and present the political and diplomatic case for Sindh's national question before the international community.

Key Objectives of the Council:
Global Advocacy: Present Sindh’s national case before the United Nations, international human rights institutions, democratic parliaments, global legal bodies, think tanks, academic institutions, civil society, and international media organizations.
Diplomatic Support: Build political and diplomatic support for the national restoration of Sindhudesh based on the recognized right to self-determination.
Formal Demand for a Referendum: Submit a formal, binding demand to the United Nations and global powers to conduct a monitored, transparent referendum allowing the Sindhi nation to freely express its sovereign political will regarding its National future.
Dual-Front Strategy for National Liberation
Achieving this national mandate requires a synchronized effort across two primary fronts:

Domestic Grassroots Mobilization: Organizing millions of Sindhis within Sindh across every city and town to articulate their political national will, sending a clear message to the United Nations and international bodies.
International Diaspora Action: Unifying the diaspora across India, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Central Asia, East Asia, Africa, Australia, and beyond to execute high-caliber political, legal, and diplomatic advocacy that presents Sindh's cause persuasively to global decision-makers.
Members of the diaspora must establish direct contact with parliaments, political leaders, human rights monitoring groups, universities, intellectuals, lawyers, journalists, think tanks, and civil society in their respective host nations to raise systematic awareness about Sindh’s colonial condition, resource exploitation, and existential dangers.

A Call for National Unity
The time has arrived for all political parties aligned with Sindh’s national movement, global diaspora members, intellectuals, youth, women, lawyers, teachers, students, and conscientious citizens to rise above internal differences. We must adopt a single, unified national position on the fundamental colonial question and coordinate joint action on the global diplomatic front.

The Core Premise of Our Global Demand is Clear:
Sindh is a historic homeland.
The Sindhi people are an ancient, distinct nation.
The Sindhi nation possesses the natural, inalienable right to determine its own political future.
Therefore, the global Sindhi diaspora must organize against colonial control, exercise the right to self-determination for the freedom of Sindhudesh, and champion the demand for a UN-monitored referendum across international political and diplomatic arenas.

The Final Manifesto: A Call to the Conscientious
An open call is extended to all conscious, patriotic members of the Sindhi diaspora who believe in their heart and conscience that:
Sindh is held under colonial-style domination within the state framework of Pakistan.
Sindh's national existence, territorial integrity, and historical identity are threatened by state narratives and constitutional frameworks.
Sindh's river, lands, ports, islands, oil, gas, coal, mountain ranges, riverine belts, deserts, and urban properties are under unauthorized control due to this subjugation.
The Sindhi language, public education, culture, and history are subject to systematic erasure.
The global diaspora must present the demand for a UN-monitored referendum for the independence of Sindhudesh before international human rights bodies and global forums.
Historical nations are facing strategic plots aimed at eroding their territorial and national status into centralized structures.
The moment has arrived for Sindhis at home and across the global diaspora to unite in political struggle within Sindh and diplomatic advocacy abroad for the survival, security, territorial unity, and independence of the homeland.

If govt wants to grill Saurav Das, I can provide a watertight case against him.

In October 2021, Saurav Das received $3,381 from the US-based Thakur Family Foundation.

On their official website, they clearly state that this money was given to Saurav Das to report on issues related to public health, and they have shared links to two of his articles.
Now the interesting part:

The first article is a hit-job piece against the Yogi government, accusing it of neglecting development work for Muslims. This article has since been removed.

The second article is on the Pegasus software, another clear hit-job piece.

So the Thakur Foundation itself has confirmed that it funded Saurav Das under the pretext of “public health” to target the Indian government. I also have the confirmation of receipt from Das.

If this was a typographical mistake, Saurav Das must explain what public health-related work he actually did to receive this money and how it's possible that this mistake was not corrected in 5 years.
