🚨 SHOCKING!
How long has this been going on?

'Kathleen Home for Orphans and Widows' (FCRA No. 10180191) and 'Faith Vision Children's Home' (FCRA No. 10180030) are FCRA-registered NGOs operating in West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. For decades, they have been receiving huge amount of foreign funds in the name of child welfare and construction of children homes.

Research conducted by Legal Rights Protection Forum revealed that these two organisations are running Children Homes without mandatory registration/licence required under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

Following LRPF's complaint, the West Godavari District Collector directed the matter to the District Women & Child Development Department. During inspection, officials found 60 children housed in Kathleen Home and 9 children in Faith Vision Children's Home.

When questioned about the licence, the management stated that they were not aware of the legal requirement to obtain registration to run Children Homes!

❓Are these organisations saying they have been running Children's Homes for decades without ever informing the Government or obtaining the mandatory registration required under the JJ Act?

❓Even more shocking, if these institutions have been functioning in this manner for years, why did the District Child Welfare authorities fail to detect this earlier and initiate action as mandated under the Juvenile Justice Act?

This raises serious questions about regulatory oversight, accountability, and the protection of vulnerable children.
