Today, a flash flood has swept through markets, settlements, and hydropower projects along the Bhotekoshi River in Timure and Syabrubesi, Rasuwa, Nepal.

The scenes are horrifying, and the scale of destruction is still unfolding. Learning that the rescue operations are underway, with many people still unaccounted for.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this devastating tragedy. Praying for those missing, for the safety of those in the flood-hit areas, and for the rescue teams working tirelessly on the ground. Shambho🙏

What a messsage! I’ve watched countless videos, but I’ve rarely come across something like this.

Do show this to the children in your family. It is truly worth watching not only because every single word spoken is accurate and on point, but also because not a single girl is laughing foolishly or dismissing what is being said. Every student is actually listening, understanding, and reflecting on the message.

Honestly, it would be difficult to convey the same message in words more mature, thoughtful, and sensible than these.

Shocking Case in India: Public Punishment of the Perpetrators

In Sri Ganganagar, a 13-year-old schoolgirl was abducted, sold to hotel owners, and gang-raped by up to 32 men in groups over the course of five days. The perpetrators held her captive in several hotels, forced her to drink alcohol, and abused her daily in groups of up to six men. The minor survived the horror. Following a police raid, she was freed alive.

Outraged residents took matters into their own hands: They captured several perpetrators (at least 18 individuals), tied them together with ropes, and paraded them publicly through the streets—a clear form of public punishment and shaming. They then handed the bound men over to the police.

The authorities in Rajasthan responded with an iron fist: They ordered the demolition of all four hotels involved. The case has sparked nationwide outrage, not only due to the unimaginable brutality toward a child, but also because of the failure of the child protection system.
