- stopping oil companies from buying dollars from open market
- giving free money to NRI to bring FCNR deposits.

These can stop the Rupee fall temporary, once you remove restrictions, INR will again fall as seen in FCNR case.

What's the easiest thing Govt can do for long term Stability of rupees is

> Cut taxes so that FIIs returns back for long term in Indian market
> Focus more on Make in India which is still like a slogan after 12 years.
> Focus on manufacturing, expand high value exports
> Cut bureaucratic bottlenecks and policies instability.

But who cares, when you can just print money, increase taxes, distribute freebies to win election and ask public to not buy Gold and do foreign travel instead.
