Same old intellectually dishonest and toxic script, on repeat for the last 50 years.

I have lived on 4 continents, in 5 countries, and across 10 cities in the last 20 years, and I have never come across a single place where the political and military leadership of the country has such deep contempt for the people they pretend to serve as I have witnessed among the ruling elite in Pakistan.

The types of terms they use for the people, from “Chu*ia awam” and “Jaahil awam” to calling young people “You*hia” and women active in jalsas “dancers.”

But that’s not the worst crime they have committed.

Pakistan’s extractive ruling elite continues to play on the fears of Western countries by presenting and amplifying its own people as terrorists who “hate” the West.

The truth is, much of the hatred against the West in the Muslim world, especially in Pakistan, is manufactured by the same ruling security elite that then thrives on the fears of Western leadership, which is more than willing to provide military and economic aid to this crooked elite so it can fight “terrorism.”

Imagine funding those to fight terrorism who are the greatest beneficiaries of terrorism.

Meanwhile, innocent students, professionals, doctors, engineers, and tourists wonder why their visas get denied despite being from the “frontline” state against terrorism, not realizing that their own ruling elite has painted them as “terrorists” to the West, and to the rest of the world.

Imran Khan's sisters arrested and detained and security forces seizing ministers in broad daylight.

The arrests come a week before a planned protest march by Khan’s PTI party.

Pakistan's Interior Minister said the government would do everything it could to stop the march.

“Never in the history of Pakistan has any political leader been subjected to the treatment that I am currently enduring. Nawaz Sharif committed corruption worth billions and was nevertheless granted every possible comfort in prison. In contrast, never before has the innocent and apolitical spouse of a political figure been imprisoned under such inhumane conditions as those imposed upon Bushra Bibi.

I am enduring the harshest prison term in the country’s history solely for the supremacy of the Constitution and in service of my nation. The level of oppression and authoritarianism is such that even the water I have for ablution is filthy and contaminated with dirt, unfit for any human being. Books sent to me by my family have been withheld for months. Access to television and newspapers has also been suspended. I have spent countless hours re-reading the same old books, but now even those are no longer available.

All my basic human rights have been violated. Even the minimum facilities accorded to ordinary prisoners under the law and the jail manual are denied to me. Despite repeated requests, I have not been allowed to speak to my children. Political meetings have also been restricted; I am only permitted to meet certain ‘choice individuals’, while all other interactions are barred.

I am waging a battle against a 78-year-old system, and my greatest success is that despite unprecedented oppression, the public stands firmly with me.

On February 8th (2024), the people expressed their trust in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf by voting for you even in the absence of an electoral symbol. After such a clear mandate, it is the moral and political responsibility of every party member to become the voice of the people. It will be nothing short of disgraceful and condemnable if PTI leaders waste time on internal conflicts at this critical juncture. Anyone found engaging in factionalism within the party will be expelled. I am fighting for the future of our generations, and every sacrifice I make is for that cause. To create rifts within the party at this time would be a direct betrayal of my mission and vision.

The so-called government formed through Form 47 has crippled the judiciary through the 26th Constitutional Amendment. The way biased judges are now delivering blatantly unjust verdicts under these courts is visible to the entire nation. We must launch a robust campaign to liberate the judiciary, for no nation can survive, let alone progress, without judicial independence.”
