Rich people without religious beliefs have moral vaccum which gets filled by spiritual babaism or ethical socialism(a form of secular Christian morality). Poor people living with economic anxiety and daily struggles have no time for such badavaism.

Misgovernance, incompetence and incommunicado is seen on various key issues across the board. BJP’s credibility of a non corrupt party is long gone with monikers of washing machine, Ethanolkari sticking and Adani’s ever expanding empire so one can’t show UPA as an example of corruption to show BJP in better light.
Baseline standards of aspirations have gone much ahead. BJP under Modi was supposed to be the party of pro free enterprise pro merit and pan Hindu for India but continuous social engineering experiments for electoral T-20 games and social justice tangos in the name of masterstrokes only wears down the electorate. Not a single conviction of UPA era corrupts till date bcos BJP wants to continue some elite consensus or hedge for parliamentary board games. The average GST official continues to harass businesses. The average customs official still makes life pain in the ass for anyone to import goods. National highways crumble within months of inauguration. All this adds to the narrative. Why will GenZ take BJP as better as of now?
