The Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) in Hyderabad is a suburban rail network operated by South Central Railway.
It connects various parts of the city and its suburbs, providing an integrated and efficient public transportation system with multiple lines, stations, and seamless connectivity with other modes of transport.

MMTS is currently operational till Umda Nagar station after latest extension towards south of Hyderabad.

Another 6kms of extension is all that is needed for RGIA (International Airport) to connect MMTS and the core city.

This was stalled previously only because of land acquisition issues between Airport and MMTS authorities. Land permission was given only till cargo terminal not the actual terminal.

With cost effective and sustainable plans from the new government, it would be very effective for common man to reach Airport in less fares if this being implemented.

Request the new government to rethink their PoV and discuss along with Airport and MMTS officials on this implementation.

This will be crucial after halting the Metro plans to airport via ORR and before implementing metro via old city.
