@tomfgoodwin Pointless comparison. It took 15-20 years for people to get a computer, build infrastructure to get internet for it to change work in 30 years.
Everyone has access to AI. On Day 1.
@tomfgoodwin Walkability is the answer. If you have to get into a car in order to buy a packed sandwich, you might as well use that car to go to a McD.
@g_ashish@kiranshaw You make it sound like travelling through an airport is like the walking dead. And even if it was so complicated, it does not give you and your able bodied parent to scam. Ask the bloody kids whom they are visiting to accompany them if traveling is so difficult.
@biztycooon @BigBullDeepak @kiranshaw What part of the disabled priority boarding didn’t you understand? Not speaking English is the lamest reason one could give for scamming a system that is in place to benefit people in need.
Indian hyperlocal startups today would be setting up their war room. Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit etc would be prepared to handle the peak demand today.
Meanwhile in Europe 🤦♂️:
@svpino@AvgustinDenis As a person living in the EU, why exactly would I want to visit the US as a tourist?
What exactly does it have? I mean no disrespect but in terms of places to visit, nature, beaches there is nothing that EU doesn’t have that US does. Except massive Supermarkets.
@soorajchandran_@deepakgreat i think ‘reliable’ is the keyword here. Getting a doctor’t appointment is no use if I have to get 2-3 “second” opinions just to verify the first doctor’s opinion.
@svpino quite true. I think the only reason why people still think Scrum works is because of a handful of relentless devs/ops engineers who make things work despite these ceremonies.
This guy founded a $6 BILLION SaaS from a village in India.
His initial revenue stream was a *donation* button 😳
The story of Abhinav Asthana & how he built Postman:
say what you want about the #Qatar2022 world cup, these amazing moments wouldn’t have been possible anywhere in the western world because the visas for these mothers would have been rejected.
@PaulZMay@thembo_coach@ZoeSchiffer 6 weeks plus 10 public holidays in Germany with a culture of forcing people to take these vacations. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
@_shankarganesh This in-built urge to fleece the customer is the problem in the Taxi industry. They wanted to fleece the customers and now are complaining about getting fleeced by the Taxi apps. Karma I would say. Customer suffers either way. 'Metering' is the only real solution.
@_shankarganesh How about simply using a 'meter' for the Taxis? I know its not sophisticated enough but it works well in Kerala for Autos. Never have to bargain before getting in an auto. The autos wait outside the stand and passengers get in one by one. Just like Taxis in Europe with meters.
@BischoffDev true. the new frameworks are all cool until you have to work with a CRM system which has frames within frames and opens 4 different windows to complete one flow. would love to see devs attempt to automate these flows with cypress.
@the_qa_guy@OliverStenbom So happy to see this. The testing community has an opinion on almost every single thing yet don't often question the pyramid which was defined A DECADE back. Especially when the Pyramid itself is based on this assumption:
@MlleSophiePofie@the_qa_guy I on the other hand, never click on the back button in these kind of websites because I know by default that it will break the site.
Damn you default heuristics!
What is funny is that Apple, in a similar situation replaced my international phone in a week two years back. No questions asked.
@SamsungMobile - Never again!
TIL that the Galaxy Flip 3 I bought from @SamsungIndia two months back cannot be repaired in @SamsungDE. Wonderful! Samsung also suggests me to travel back to India to get it repaired there. 1/n
Why exactly is it my problem as a customer that the Indian parts of the same fricking phone might not be available in EU? You, an International Company should clarify it internally and not ask me to "go back to India" to repair my 1000 Euro phone I bought 2 months back!
