The procedural lapses that set off a chain of confessions extracted by the police using “brutal and inhuman torture”: How 12 men spent two decades jail in the 2006 Mumbai train blasts case. Read on @newslaundry.
The invocation of MCOCA had cascading consequences on the 2006 Mumbai serial blasts case.
One piece of information conveyed “orally” - in violation of strict approval chain and procedural safeguards -may have triggered it all.

This 300-year-old gem of history in Bandra—Ranwar Village is known for its beautiful heritage homes, quaint alleys and christmas lights. It is all set to get a makeover. My report on NDTV -

Our @IndiGo6E flight from Hyd-Bom is delayed by two hours. Staff here confirms their flight from Mumbai hasn't been cleared to leave Mumbai because of "VIP movement" due to Anant Ambani's wedding. Thank you to the Ambani family for making us feel a part of your celebrations 🙏🏼
Mumbai North West Lok Sabha candidate @RavindraWaikar has released this hilariously nonsensical map of India as part of his campaign. Make sense of it if you can 🤣
He is in desperate need of work and sick of employers rejecting him simply for being blind. Please spread the word. Any and all leads will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello people, I'm helping my friend Sachin Tawde find a job. Sachin was employed at @CHILDLINE1098 Mumbai for 15 years and last worked as a Quality Assurance Officer. He was among several employees to be laid off last year after the central government took over Childline.
Potential employers have declined to interview him, saying they are not equipped to employ a blind person. Sachin and his wife Pooja, who is also blind and holds a Master's degree, briefly sold dry fish below their building last year. They have also just become parents.
This pre-wedding is a good excuse to go back three years in time, when the farmers' protest and explosives placed outside Antilia, provided a peek into the curious relationship that the Ambani family and Reliance Industries share with the Mumbai police. https://t.co/orOsg8LpaB
My first book, Meow Meow: The Incredible True Story of Baby Patankar released a year ago today. Thank you @LabyrinthAgency, @HarperCollinsIN and @bushra1491 and everyone who read and purchased a copy and told me how much they enjoyed reading it. Here is my favourite passage -
This week: a guest edition of The Lit Pickers, in which @srisomething talks about his fascinating book about a drug named meow meow, a woman named Baby, and the city they briefly ruled a few years ago. @dpanjana@maedinindia
Spare a thought today for families whose loved ones disappeared in Bombay riots of 199-93 after kar sevaks demolished Babri Masjid to make way for the new temple. Re-upping this story I did for @htTweets last month.
