This last sentence is a joke and this is an absolute embarrassment for you and for the @nytimes. As the person in charge of standards and trust--you failed. This long thread should actually include an apology. To your readers.
New York Times fail. Pathetic. Also good indication that the @nytimes needs to hire more multi-racial people so maybe this stuff will make sense to you guys.
@TheDemocrats Are you joking me? WTF are you celebrating? The fact that, in the last 2 weeks, the party spent more time criticizing the NYC mayoral candidate than actually doing something about this bill?? You all are absurdly vile and just as complicit as your Republican counterparts.
@RepJeffries You did NOTHING. Do not try to spin this n any other way. You and the rest of the establishment Democrats who sat there, complained about a mayoral race and played "nice" are accomplices in the murder of the middle/lower class; I hope your complicity haunts you to your grave.
@SenSchumer You did NOTHING. Do not try to spin this n any other way. You, @RepJeffries & and the rest of the establishment Democrats who sat there and played "nice" are accomplices in the murder of the middle and lower class; I hope the guilt of your complicity haunts you to your grave.
@lisamurkowski Even your justification of making "a bad bill better for Alaska" shows how morally rotten you are - putting the comfort of the few over the needs of the many. If you're able to sleep at this point, I hope you lay on your deathbed sobbing for the evil you've enabled
Not the first to say this but it is fuckin crazy that the Democrats spent the last week going after Zohran Mamdani instead of rallying against the bill
Maybe if Democrats spent weeks leading a mobilization effort against the bill -- a national strategy with rallies in key districts -- instead of having meltdowns about Zohran, I'd be a bit more enthusiastic about Jeffries's grand plan to... delay the vote until the afternoon.
@RayTrainToTrop@wmata Not sure why you feel the need to comment, but I clearly tagged the DC Police Dept and was talking to them but thank you for coming to my post and trying to correct with wrong information
@wmata I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but what exactly will be done? Your officers should be trained to not be looking at their phones while they're on patrol, so they can actually get involved when they would make a difference.
Boy Meets World really played in our face having Topanga turn down Yale for Cory. Yale??? For CORY?!?!
Now if we’re talking Shawn, I would’ve followed him to DeVry.
