Today, in honour of the departed souls, I visited His Royal Majesty, the Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, Oba Oloyede Aborisade, and the good people of Akinlalu town, in Ife North Local Government, to commiserate with them over the gruesome murder of their kinsmen and beloved.
The news of this tragedy is heartbreaking and unacceptable. Those who are meant to protect our people must never become instruments of harm. It is therefore important that we carefully examine those entrusted with the leadership of our security outfits. The sanctity of human life must remain sacred and no one should act above the law.
Justice must be served both for the victims and their families. Those found culpable in this cruel act must be held accountable to restore public confidence in our security system. The innocent victims of Akinlalu deserve not only our prayers but also justice and reform that ensures such never happens again.
I stand with the people of Akinlalu in this moment of grief. May the Almighty comfort the bereaved, grant repose to the departed souls, and give our state the wisdom to build a system where safety, fairness and compassion guide every arm of government.

In our continued drive to connect with key stakeholders across Osun, my team and I visited Boluwaduro and Ifelodun Local Government Areas for robust consultations with party faithful and community leaders.
In both councils, we were warmly welcomed by party stalwarts, youth leaders, women groups, and grassroots mobilizers whose passion for a better Osun was both inspiring and instructive.
The conversations were honest, hopeful, and deeply rooted in a shared desire for progress. From youth empowerment to transparent governance, the voices we heard echoed one message: our people want a leadership that listens, responds, and delivers.
These consultations are more than visits; they are a demonstration of our resolve to build a movement powered by the people, for the people.
Together, AMBO wá Tun Ósun Ṣe.
As our consultation trail moved into Boluwaduro Local Government today, my team and I visited the historic town of Igbajo, where we paid homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adegboyega Famodun, the Owa of Igbajo, to receive royal blessings towards the successful actualization of our collective aspiration.
It is with utmost humility and a great sense of responsibility that I express my deepest appreciation for this honor to be elected as the Deputy Minority Leader of the 10th @NGRSenate today 4th July 2023.
Breaking News: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), a few minutes ago signed into law, the Student Loan Bill, which provides for interest-free loans to indigent Nigerian students.
