🚨#PokemonWindsWaves ANALYSIS & SPECULATION🚨
FROM GAIA TO ZEUS
The codenames of the Gen 10 project seem to reference figures from ancient Greek mythology. It wouldn’t be the first time a Pokémon game has used references from cultures different from the region’s main inspiration (just think of Sinnoh and its biblical references).
🌬️🌊In the case of Pokémon Winds and Waves, we have:
GAIA (codename of the base project)
ZEUS (codename of the DLC, according to @The_BallGuy )
If we bring in other Greek mythological figures connected to Gaia and Zeus, we can start speculating about the structure of what the Pokémon Winds and Waves adventure might look like. To do that, we also need two more figures: Typhon and Poseidon.
🌪️TYPHON: son of Gaia, bringer of chaos, storms, and violent winds.
🔱POSEIDON: brother of Zeus and ruler of the seas.
And to that, we add Gaia and Zeus:
🌏GAIA: the origin of everything, the primordial source from which all things emerge.
⚡️ZEUS: king of the gods, the deity who governs weather phenomena. Zeus defeated Typhon in battle.
This is where the Gen 10 project starts to come together, following that mythological hierarchy:
🌏LEVEL 0: GAIA (The Source)
Gaia is the matrix, the primordial entity from which everything is born. It’s the codename of the entire Gen 10 project because it represents its source. Most likely, the source of the Majin gimmick lies in this ancestral force.
⛈️LEVEL 1: THE STORM
The two cover Legendaries, Wind (Typhon) and Wave (Poseidon), represent the active forces competing for dominance while also maintaining the world’s balance.
⚡️LEVEL 2: ZEUS
Why would the DLC be called ZEUS? In mythology, Zeus is the one who defeats Typhon and establishes order. He isn’t just raw power, he is AUTHORITY and ORDER.
Zeus represents the end of the storm, the lightning bolt that tears through the clouds and restores equilibrium.
We should also remember that Zeus’s lightning is physically tied to the meeting of air and water, discharging toward the earth. In that sense, it becomes a perfect synthesis of Gen 10’s three key elements.
So the DLC may not be just an extra chapter, but the true process of resolution that closes Gen 10’s narrative.

A post from @The_BallGuy suggests that the codename for the Pokémon Winds and Waves DLC might be ZEUS⚡️
Zeus is the king of the gods of Olympus, whose iconic symbol is the thunderbolt. As I wrote in other posts published here in the past few days, the idea of a clash between Wind and Wave is the one that appeals to me the most as a foundation for the story and lore of Pokémon Winds and Waves. I’ve repeatedly referred to this clash as a storm, also hinted at in the final seconds of the trailer, where you can hear stormy waves and howling wind⛈️🌪️
The codename for the Gen 10 games is known to be Gaia, which in mythology is the primordial entity, supreme matriarch, and origin of all things. In my theories, I’ve speculated about the presence of a third Legendary from which the powers of the Wind and Wave Legendaries both originate and to which they ultimately return, forming the basis of the "Majin" gimmick.
Bringing the DLC codename Zeus into the equation makes the puzzle start to feel more complete, while still consistent with everything discussed so far.
Zeus might not represent a specific Legendary (after all, previous codenames never directly referred to any Pokémon), but could instead conceptually point to what will happen in Pokémon Winds and Waves.
Zeus is also the god who governs weather phenomena… coincidence? I’ve envisioned a resolution to the conflict between winds and waves, the end of the storm, mediated by a third force that restores balance.
Is that what Zeus is meant to suggest? Will the Gen 10 DLC, like Scarlet/Violet’s, guide us toward the true epilogue? Could ZEUS be the codename for the entire adventure and the resolution of the conflict we’ll have to face?🌊🌬️

Could Pokopia contain more teasers for Pokémon Winds and Waves? Besides the Lumineon painting already seen in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, these lamps also appear among the decorations in #PokemonPokopia ✨
They’re called Resort Lights.
Do they ring any bells? In the Pokémon Winds and Waves trailer, we can spot similar lamps inside the resort. These are made with woven rattan, a material typical of Indonesia and, more broadly, Southeast Asia.
The term rattan is used to refer to the wood of several palm species, and it is commonly used for handwoven crafts🌴

I don’t know about you, but I’m becoming more and more convinced that Gen 10 is building toward a conflict between Waves and Wind, a clash between natural forces, with some kind of point of contact and/or core that governs them. All of it embodied by the Generation 10 Legendaries🌬️🌊
I tried combining the two symbols that appear on the protagonists’ uniforms, and I noticed a certain resemblance to the symbol found in the Japanese logos, which I already discussed in other posts (I’ll leave them in the comments).
And what if the circle at the center of the six symbols represents a Sun? Above the waves on one side, surrounded by wind on the other. The end of the storm, the control of natural forces🌈
...Or maybe I’m just letting my imagination run a little too far💭

According to unofficial information that has leaked over the past few months, the group of antagonists is supposedly led by the director of a hotel chain: his goal is to control nature in order to ensure the survival of the human species 🌊🌬️
We’ve already speculated that there is this kind of research (focused on Wind in one version and on Waves in the other) behind the use of the “Majin” mechanic in battles.
However, on the regional map there are no other hotels shown across the islands. We do know, though, that there are as many as six Majin Labs (Fire, Ice, Ground, Rock, Psychic, Ghost) ✨
What if these labs were hidden inside hotels?Imagine a scenario where the prestigious resort owner is the mastermind behind the Team, hiding his shady plans within his hotels.
It wouldn’t be the first time villain team operations are concealed behind commercial fronts, for example, Rocket Hideout in Kanto’s Game Corner, Lysandre Labs beneath the café, or Macro Cosmos under Chairman Rose in Galar.

🚨#PokemonWindsWaves ANALYSIS & SPECULATION🚨
From the information we have, we can say with a fair degree of certainty that our adventure will begin in the hotel/resort structure, a confirmation that comes from both unofficial information and the trailer, which shows scenes with an "adventure start" vibe 🎒
In the post below, based on some game info we have, I said that the director of this hotel chain is the antagonist and head of the antagonist Team, with his main headquarters right at the hotel where the adventure begins. Plus, we’ve toyed with theories suggesting that other hotels scattered across the region actually hide the Majin Labs.
At the core of everything would be research on natural phenomena and forces, and we’ll be part of this research (which explains the protagonists’ different outfits): research based on Wind energy on one side and Wave energy on the other 🌊🌬️
The antagonist team in these games might believe they can control these forces, keeping the Wind and Wave Legendaries imprisoned/controlled. However, these forces could slip out from under their control, triggering the game’s real problem and the true solution to resolve.
Additionally, starting right from the hotel structure, we can hypothesize that we’ll receive the key to use the mechanic within the first few hours of gameplay, perhaps after proving our skills as great Pokémon Trainers.

Continuing to analyze the Gen 10 logo and game names, it's worth considering their Japanese localization. In Japanese, the games are called ポケットモンスター ウインド and ポケットモンスター ウェーブ (Pocket Monsters Wind and Wave, but in katakana).
On official social media hashtags, the games are tagged as #ポケモン風波:
ポケモン → Pokémon
風波 → 風 (Wind) 波 (Wave)
Now let's look at how it's written in the official hashtags: 風波.
In Japanese, there are two types of pronunciation: kun'yomi (native Japanese reading) and on'yomi (Chinese-derived reading).
If the kun'yomi reading doesn't suggest anything beyond the official in-game names, the on'yomi reading might hide some teaser or hidden meaning.
The on'yomi reading is more commonly used in metaphorical and abstract senses. With this reading, 風波 is pronounced fūha, meaning: problems, adversities, turbulences, or metaphorically, STORM ⛈️
At the end of the trailer, after the titles and Pokémon Winds and Waves logos appear, for a few seconds we can hear a particular noise, deliberately left as a teaser for something. The noise is clearly a storm, with crashing waves and strong winds stirring them🌊🌬️
On the official site, in the games' description, this line has been added:
"During this adventure, you’ll be able to team up with all kinds of Pokémon to overcome both the difficult road ahead and even the forces of nature that block your path at times."
as if to further emphasize the adversities of nature.
Are we facing a storyline that will push us to confront storms from the forces of nature? Will the Legendaries Wave and Wind clash in a primordial battle, unleashing nature's wrath? A third Legendary representing Nature itself might step in to resolve this conflict

The logo we see in the Japanese titles, following the usual symbol–gimmick pattern, seems to be tied to the Gen 10 mechanic, which we know from the teraleak as “Majin,” previously discussed in other posts.
For those who don’t know, the mechanic codenamed “Majin” appears to be linked to weather conditions and is studied in several research labs scattered across the region. According to the leaks, the confirmed labs are:
🔥Fire
🧊Ice
⛰️Ground
🪨Rock
🧿Psychic
👻Ghost
The rainbow motif in the logo further supports the idea of a typed mechanic, confirming that Majin is not a single, universal effect but a system with different variants by type🌈
The logo also seems to evoke an “M,” as in “Majin.” In many depictions, majin-like beings are represented with symbols or runes on their bodies (for example, in pop culture, the iconic “M” of Majin Buu in Dragon Ball, which itself draws on these folkloric figures).
In a post where I discussed the connection between the Majin mechanic and the third Legendary, I suggested that the Majin Labs might be facilities created to study the energy of a third Legendary, then encode it into type-specific Majin forms and apply it to Pokémon, which would be “possessed” by this natural energy.
From non-official information, we also know that the antagonists of Gen 10’s story are a group operating under the orders of a powerful hotel director, presumably the five-star hotel seen in the February 27 trailer, which appears to be the starting point of the adventure. According to this group, nature and Pokémon must be controlled for humanity’s survival, using weather-based technology derived from Legendary Pokémon.
The story of Pokémon Winds and Waves should begin right at the hotel complex, so it’s very likely that we’ll receive the key item to use the mechanic within the first few hours of gameplay✨

As has been the case since Pokémon XY, the Japanese logos of the games always hide a symbol that's later connected to the generation's main gimmick:
🧬XY → Mega Evolution symbol
💎Sun and Moon → Z-Crystal for Z-Moves
🏟️Sword and Shield → Galar stadiums and Dynamax used in competitions
✨Scarlet and Violet → Teracristal
The Japanese logo of Pokémon Winds and Waves also hides something: this symbol resembling an omega. The symbol is surrounded by rainbow colors and seems to glow with white light, the same light found in Western logos as the title background.
This symbol is definitely tied to the gimmick and some lore elements, and we'll talk about it soon.

In the previous posts, we speculated about the possible design inspirations and evolutionary lines of Generation 10 starters.
🍃Browt → Kākāpō
🔥Pombon → Pomeranian dog breed and the mythological creature Barong
💧Gecqua → Tokay gecko
These starters might share a unifying theme: MUSIC or, more generally, SOUNDS!
🐦Browt/Kākāpō
Kākāpō are famous for their "leking," a system where males use their calls to attract females, often utilizing burrows dug into the ground to amplify the sound.
🐕Pombon/Barong
In Balinese culture, Barong doesn't exist without its music. The Barong dance is inextricably linked to a percussion instrument orchestra. Additionally, during the dances, an iconic sound is the noise of its jaw.
🦎Gecqua/Tokay gecko
As we already mentioned in the Water starter's dedicated post, the male Tokay gecko emits a very onomatopoeic and distinct call—practically a vocalization.
So we would have:
→ Gecqua = VOCALIZATIONS/VOICE🎤
→ Pombon = RHYTHM 🎶
→ Browt = AMPLIFICATION/BASS🔊

💭#GEN10 LEAK SPECULATION AND THEORY
👺The “Majin” gimmick
The "Majin" mechanic would be humanity’s attempt to replicate or scientifically channel the ambient energy of a third Legendary, fragmenting it into type-specialized entities.
The chosen term, Majin (魔人 / 魔神), is extremely significant: in Japanese it evokes spirits, genies, or demonic deities, supernatural beings that embody power on an overwhelming scale, often ambiguous, balanced between benevolence and destruction.
This suggests that the gimmick isn’t a “natural” evolution of Pokémon power, but a technological and sacrilegious coercion: humans try to dominate the spirit of nature, turning Pokémon into “containers” for a primordial power that distorts their appearance, typing, and abilities.
The “Majin Laboratories” spread across the region (Fire, Ice, Ground, Rock, Psychic… and perhaps Ghost) would therefore seem to be structures created to study and capture different fragments of this energy, encoding them into type-specific “Majin” and applying them to Pokémon as if they were “divine masks” or controlled possessions.
🐉Legendary Trio
Rumors describe two main Legendaries:
one tied to Wind, an elderly figure who guides storms, and one tied to Waves, an embodiment of marine equilibrium → Wind and Waves/Sky and Sea.
Two ancient guardians living on remote islands, ready to judge the Trainer’s worth.
To complete the circle, it’s natural to hypothesize a third Legendary Pokémon that represents Nature itself. This creature would act as the “medium” through which atmospheric and oceanic energies spread, connect, and self-regulate.
In other words: a GAIA Legendary, the core where all natural forces converge and from which they radiate back into the world.
What could this “GAIA” Legendary draw from, visually and conceptually?
Southeast Asia offers a powerful reference: Ibu Pertiwi.
In Indonesian culture, Ibu Pertiwi personifies the homeland and the Earth, an allegory of Tanah Air (“Land and Water”), the mother who nourishes her people. She’s a maternal figure that simultaneously embodies soil, forests, rivers, and sea, often depicted as a female body merging with rice fields, mountains, and waterways.
Within the trio:
-> Wind Legendary would represent the Sky, storms, and air currents;
->Waves Legendary would embody the Sea, tides, and the abyss;
->GAIA Legendary, inspired by Ibu Pertiwi, would be living Nature that unites Land and Water, the bridge that stabilizes the region’s life energy and keeps Sky and Sea in balance.
A second mythological pillar is the Naga, found across many Indian and Southeast Asian traditions: enormous semi-divine dragon-serpents, guardians of water and the underworld. Naga are often associated with rivers, lakes, oceans, and subterranean realms; they govern rain, floods, and fertility, and symbolize the boundary line between human and divine.
In that sense, the GAIA Legendary would literally become the living channel through which all the planet’s natural forces flow and the "Majin" would simply be “fragments” of this sacred energy that humans are trying to exploit.

On September 28, 2006, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl released in Japan, later arriving in Europe on July 27 of the following year. In the Sinnoh region, 107 new Pokémon were added (some of them evolutions or pre-evolutions of already-known Pokémon), bringing the total number of creatures to 493 💙🩷🖤
Set at the foot of Mt. Coronet, Sinnoh introduced us to Pokémon’s ideas of time, space, and cosmic mythology through the legendaries Dialga and Palkia & Giratina then joined them in Pokémon Platinum (released September 13, 2008 in Japan and May 22, 2009 in Europe)✨
Generation 4 also brought major new features and systems, including the Underground, a new Battle Frontier (in Pokémon Platinum), and support for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

On November 21, 2002, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire released in Japan, later arriving in Europe on July 25, 2003. In the Hoenn region, 135 new Pokémon were added, bringing the total number of creatures to 386❤️💙💚
In Hoenn, we discovered the story of the legendary Groudon and Kyogre, later expanded with the third legendary, Rayquaza, in Pokémon Emerald (September 16, 2004 in Japan and October 21, 2005 in Europe). The ancient Legendary Titans were awakened for the first time, and the Eon duo soared across the region’s skies🌏
Among Gen 3’s new features were Pokémon Contests and the Battle Tower, which was later expanded into the Battle Frontier in Pokémon Emerald.
And of course, Hoenn also gave birth to the “Too Much Water” meme, thanks to the region’s heavy focus on the sea and water routes explorable via HM Dive and HM Waterfall.
