@sarithaforny I am so glad I got a phone call about you! You are a rising star. You are exactly what the people of NY need- passionate and focused on the LAW instead of politics. Best wishes for a win, but if not this time, you are the future!
Saritha Komatireddy JUST STEAMROLLED Letitia James in this debate!🔥🔥🔥
Saritha Komatireddy: “New York spends $126 billion on Medicaid every year. That’s more per resident than any other state in the country, and twice as much per resident as New Jersey. That doesn’t make any sense. We’re both blue states with similar demographics and similar policies.
There’s about $40 billion in unexplained spending that Letitia James has failed to investigate.
We used to have one of the best Medicaid fraud units in the country under previous Democratic attorneys general. We recovered about $250 million a year. Letitia James came in, and it took a nosedive to $19 million.
Under previous Democratic attorneys general, we secured about 100 criminal convictions a year. Under Letitia James, that number hit an all-time low of eight.
She gets 2,000 patient abuse complaints a year and secures maybe one or two convictions. That means someone could be punching an elderly patient in a nursing home, and no one is doing anything.”
Sexual assault cases need a serious prosecutor who brings fairness, impartiality, and integrity. Letitia James has never prosecuted a single criminal case, and she has already prejudged this one.
New York deserves a real prosecutor, and that’s what I am.
Laws only work when we enforce them.
As Attorney General, I will hold criminals accountable and make public safety a priority. New Yorkers deserve results.
Tonight, I’m making one thing clear: New Yorkers deserve an Attorney General who fights for them, not political interests.
The law must be enforced, criminals must be held accountable, and public safety must come first.
Opioid settlement money should be going toward saving lives, not wasteful spending. I will demand accountability for every dollar and prioritize real treatment for New Yorkers struggling with addiction.
Antisemitism is on the rise in New York, and we cannot allow this hatred to become the new normal.
I made it clear tonight: As Attorney General, I will confront antisemitism head-on and hold those responsible accountable.
Make no mistake: Letitia James is a defund-the-police politician. For her, having more criminals on the street isn’t a problem — it’s a policy.
She pushed for less police. She loves our catch-and-release bail laws. And she ignores the innocent people who keep getting attacked by repeat offenders, including our own cops.
New York needs an AG who supports the police, will fix the broken bail laws, and will lock up repeat offenders, and I’ll do just that.
New York spends $81,000 per homeless person, and people are still sleeping on our streets. Our Attorney General has ignored the red flags for years.
That ends with me on day one.
