Sir David Amess MP 1952-2021

[Priti Patel MP @pritipatel]

I am devastated we have lost Sir David Amess. David was not only a fellow Essex MP, but a kind and loyal friend.

Patrolling Bridgend when this Audi drove past me using a handheld device, ran vehicle on PNC which reveals the vehicle has no insurance - vehicle seized, TOR issued to driver.

Pleased to say I have transferred to @SWRP_RPU - excited to see what the future holds!

We will never tolerate violence towards our officers.

This is the shocking moment a man kicked one of our officers during a protest last year.

After brilliant detective work and looking through hours of CCTV, he has now been sentenced.

[Boris Johnson @BorisJohnson]

This England team deserve to be lauded as heroes, not racially abused on social media.

Those responsible for this appalling abuse should be ashamed of themselves.

[Priti Patel MP @pritipatel]

I am disgusted that @England players who have given so much for our country this summer have been subject to vile racist abuse on social media.

It has no place in our country and I back the police to hold those responsible accountable.

Sgt Matt Ratana was shot and killed on duty on 25 September 2020.

Today, 23-year-old Louis de Zoysa was charged with his murder, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

Our thoughts are with Matt’s partner, wider family and colleagues.

Things I learned on yesterday’s ride a long;

Response policing is organised chaos. Officers often have limited and confusing information and only seconds to act when arriving on scene. It is unimaginably hard at best. 🚓 #SWBCU #RideALong
