ಇಂದು ಲೋಕಭವನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಅನುಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಹಳ್��ಿಗಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಬೆಳೆದ ನಾನು ಮುಂದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಶಾಸಕ, ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕ, ಎರಡೆರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂಬ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತದ್ದೊಂದು ದುಬಾರಿಯಾದ ಕನಸು ನನಸಾಗಿರುವುದು ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಿಂದ.

ಬುದ್ಧ, ಬಸವ, ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬರು, ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರೇ ನನ್ನ ಆದರ್ಶ. ನನ್ನ ನಲವತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಡಿನ ಅವಕಾಶ ವಂಚಿತ, ಶೋಷಿತ, ಬಡ ಜನರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿದೆ.

ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಾಸಕಾಂಗ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಆರಿಸಿ, ಈ ವರೆಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜನಸೇವೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲಿಗೆ ಹೆಗಲಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವರಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಸೋನಿಯಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಬದುಕಿನುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ತುಂಬಿದ, ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಸಿದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಹೃದಯವಂತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ನಾ��ು ಚಿರಋಣಿ.

ಸಂವಿಧಾನವೇ ನನಗೆ ಧರ್ಮ, ಜನರೇ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ದೇವರು. ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸೀಮಿತ, ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ.

ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರು ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಕೋಮುವಾದಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

Siddaramaiah’s first term (2013-18) was good. He delivered a good governance and was in command. The current tenure has not been effective. He could neither govern, nor assert his authority. A small coterie ruined his legacy. A few trusted men betrayed him. Like him or not, he is among one of the tallest leaders of Karnataka. Most successful too like his illustrious predecessors S Nijalingappa, Devaraj Urs, RK Hegde, HD Deve Gowda and SM Krishna. Completely self made. A highly knowledgeable, brave, pan Karnataka politician. Power is not permanent, he knows that. Siddaramaiah is still in politics and tomorrow is another day.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಲೋಕಸೇವಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಎದುರಿಸಿದ್ದ 15 ಮಂದಿ ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಉಳಿದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ನೊಂದಿರುವ ಅರ್ಹ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಒದಗಿಸುವುದು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ.

KPSC is Karnataka’s shame. The most corrupt body. Just to sell the KAS posts, the officials deliberately create confusion and make no proper arrangements. If the SSLC and PUC Boards can conduct much bigger exams without flaws, why can’t KPSC? KPSC should be dissolved and all officials involved in this should be prosecuted. More than politicians, officials are involved and should be held accountable.
