🚨Gary Neville on Jude Bellingham’s match-winning performance against France.
🎙️ Reporter: “Gary, Jude Bellingham came off the bench and scored the winning goal. What did you make of his performance?”
🗣️ Gary Neville: “He’s a player you simply cannot take your eyes off. Every time he steps onto a football pitch, something happens.
“I’ll be honest, I’m still disappointed Manchester United missed the chance to sign him when they had the opportunity. Players like Jude don’t come around very often.
“He came on around the 70th minute, took the game by the scruff of the neck and scored the winning goal. That’s what world-class players do—they change matches.
“What amazes me is that he’s a midfielder. How do you explain it? He arrives in the box like a top-class striker, finishes with the composure of a centre-forward and still gives you everything defensively.
“He doesn’t wait for the game to come to him—he goes and takes control of it. That’s a rare mentality.
“When England needed someone to calm things down and deliver a decisive moment, Jude was the one who stood up. That’s leadership, and you can’t teach it.
“He’s got everything. The physicality, the technique, the intelligence, the timing of his runs and the personality to perform under pressure. He plays with the confidence of someone who’s been doing this for 15 years.
“For me, he’s one of the most complete midfielders in world football. Players like him don’t just win matches—they define generations. England are incredibly fortunate to have him.”
