You know this passage from Isaiah is NOT saying governments never lie, conspiracies never happen, or God's people should never ask questions, right?

The historical setting is important. Judah was living through a time of political instability, fear, rumors, alliances, and uncertainty.

The point of the passage is to trust GOD and NOT be anxious about all the troubles and distrust of that time.

It is not a blanket dismissal of all "conspiracy theories."

The Bible is FILLED with conspiracies!

Absalom conspired against David

Jezebel conspired against Naboth

Religious leaders conspired against Jesus

Acts repeatedly mentions plots to murder Paul
