@BadFilmTakes1 Apple will be just fine. They were completely prepared for it to underperform, so to speak, with that price tag & runtime. I'm sure they would have loved it to make $400+ million but I don't think anyone over there is hitting the roof over it's gross.

@DreyfusJames @MarvinWoodstock I see what it’s going for, but found the two leads’ inaction implausible for the last stretch. It’s beyond the point of awkward civility & uneasiness at that point of the film (tongues are being snipped), they’re in literal danger. Took me out of it 🫤

You mean when they pouted in the car after their daughter's tongue was cut out or when they let themselves get stoned to death? I know their inaction is the point, but I found it so hard to swallow eventually that I couldn't vibe with the movie in the end.
