Tonight, Molly Seifert was named the Kentucky Teacher of the Year!

This is an incredible accomplishment. Out of 40,000 Kentucky educators, 600 nominees, and 9 Teacher Achievement Award winners, Ms. Seifert was chosen not only as the Kentucky High School Teacher of the Year, but also as the 2027 Kentucky Teacher of the Year!

We are so grateful for all Molly does for our Beechwood students and community. She is in her 21st year at Beechwood and 26th in education. We are proud that she will represent both Beechwood and Kentucky through this honor.

Congratulations, Ms. Seifert!

We are incredibly proud of Molly Seifert, one of only nine educators in the state named as a Teacher Achievement Award winner!

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) announced nine educators as recipients of the 2027 Kentucky Teacher Achievement Awards.

Ms. Seifert is one of only three high school educators selected for this award!

These teachers are also nominees for the 2027 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Award, which will be announced in September.

Ms. Seifert has demonstrated excellence in her 20 years at Beechwood. Her impact on all students is evident both inside and outside the classroom. She has contributed to the fabric of what makes Beechwood special!

Congratulations, Ms. Seifert!

I waited until today, our “opening night”, to post a few of my favorite things.... 😉
If you have time this weekend, I humbly ask that you take a few hours and watch this insanely talented group of kids perform “The Sound of Music”. https://t.co/QGiphtT2Jr

4 games in 4 days. Tigers win our 3rd in a row with a win over Bracken Co. Tough environment. The crowd was into it. The home team played a great game.

And that’s when seniors matter. These 3 said “we’re taking the Dub back home with us.” And so we did.

Senior Night is always special. But when it is Senior Night of the “Unforgettables” class, it makes it even more special.

It is not an exaggeration to say that this class saved Beechwood Girls Basketball.

Enjoy your special night. You’ve earned it.

@KyBlazers_AAU @KHSAA Such a valid point! A shortened season does not allow enough time to deal with quarantining. Poor decision not to try to extend the season.
