@HHHardwood@District_Baller Will this eventually cause the top of the league to leave the A10 or will this cause the bottom three or four to leave the A10?
@Broadcaster005@CurryHicksSage Parking is fine if you know where to go. Forget the history, the Palestra sounds very loud even if there are a few thousand people there. It would create an actual tournament atmosphere where fans can get into it.
@Aaron_Bracy 1. Sixers started the season with a long unbeaten run. I think maybe 12-0?
2. The playoff run was an incredible slog. Seems like someone got injured every game.
3. Pat Croce was everywhere.
@MaacTheft I would point to La Salle, who should never have left the MAAC. La Salle was a perfect fit for the MAAC and surely would have had more success over the past 30 years had they stayed.
@KevinCooney The peaks and valleys with this team is more extreme. They could get swept in the Wild Card round or they could win the World Series. Neither outcome would be a shock.
@JTansey90 In the end, the opposite is going to happen. Probably the lowest 12 or 16 rated conferences will have to go to Dayton or wherever to play a play-in game. We are going to see a lot more of sub .500 ACC schools and a lot less of the McNeese Stateโs of the world.
@KevinCooney Suarez to the bullpen. Walker takes the spot in the rotation until Painter is ready. Phillies have multiple trade needs and perhaps Abel gets used for that.
@BigFivePlusOne In the context of the Big 5, I think the portal is a killer. In previous eras, fans/alums knew the players and knew some of the back stories, etc. Now you have players leaving one Big 5 school for another. It stinks and itโs part of the modern reason why Big 5 schools donโt draw
@mar5hallhoops@KevinCBryant2 I think a bigger question is what is the future of AAU? With the portal, there is less of a need for schools to look for HS players. D2โs and D3โs could get a lot done at bigger events(like Hoop Group), but many kids donโt want that type of recruiting (even if thatโs their level)
@Aaron_Bracy La Salle has done a good job with their additions. Getting good players from JUCO and conferences equal to or below the A10 is better than getting guys who didnโt stick in higher conferences.
