A soft rain falls on an Irish garden,
On a gentle summer’s eve,
The grass whispers to a weeping sky,
As a flag dances on the breeze,
‘Do you hear the bombs in that distant land?
And the searing screams of pain?’
‘I do’ the sky says mournfully,
‘The world has gone insane!
‘But keep pushing up your blades of green,
For those who must be freed!’
‘And keep that life force flowing,
From the river to the sea… ‘
