I should clarify there are a lot of good things happening in healthcare too. The transition to AI will overall make healthcare better. The costs and insurance system need to be revamped. Primary care can be changed for the better. This is a time ripe for innovation!
@DutchRojas Investments made up front into primary care and prenatal care can help keep people out of the hospital to save on those large bills. https://t.co/XwlZJQHz1S
@DutchRojas If we could figure out a way to cover these costs for hospitals, then the right thing could be done and charge patients fair, transparent costs for labs, imaging, primary care.
@DutchRojas I am a pediatrician trying to understand why the costs of health care outrageous. Direct primary care and transparent labs paid by cash are so much better. The main reason for insurance markup is to cover costs of catastrophic hospital costs for really sick long patients
We need to look at the Maryland for healthcare innovation in NC and eventually in the US. Global budget revenues could stabilize budgets, especially for rural hospitals and prevent patients from having to move to another system due to lack of negotiated price. #healthcare
I don’t care how it is done-single payer or direct fee for service but we need to do something to fix the healthcare system. Let’s start with the children. Every child should have access to quality medical care that they need regardless of ability to pay.
Trying to use AI to figure out what the ideal US healthcare system care system is. Bottom line is universal coverage for everyone, however that may look.

@joshmcgoo I have had 2 teen patients that went to get IUDs and they had to stop the procedure because it was too painful. I now tell patients to insist on getting sedation if they get an IUD, but unfortunately, sedation for this is not standard yet.
