In 1984, 17-year-old Lisa McVey was abducted while riding her bike home from work in Tampa, Florida.
Having already survived years of ab*se before that night, Lisa used every bit of her resilience and intuition to stay alive. During the 26 hours she was held, she began carefully studying her captor, Bobby Joe Long, and slowly worked to gain his sympathy by calling him “sweet,” speaking softly, and pretending to understand him.
Her strategy worked. Long, unexpectedly moved by her approach, released her. Lisa ran straight to police and provided one of the most detailed victim statements authorities had ever heard, recalling his voice, his home layout, his behaviors, the blindfold he used, and even small sounds she heard. Her information became the key that finally led investigators to Long, ending his months-long spree of se**al attacks and m*rders across the Tampa Bay area.
Bobby Joe Long was later tied to the abductions, se**al assaults, and mr*ders of at least ten women in 1984. He was eventually arrested, convicted, and later received a d**th sentence for his crimes.
Lisa McVey, who survived something that most people would not, transformed her trauma into purpose. She eventually became a law enforcement officer, dedicating her life to protecting others, especially vulnerable children. Her story is now widely recognized as one of the most extraordinary cases of survival, courage, and intelligence ever documented.

Rod Dreher just published a detailed piece in the Daily Mail explaining why he ended his friendship with Tucker Carlson.

In 2023, Tucker privately told Dreher about the demonic attack in his bed — the same incident he later described publicly. Dreher, a practicing Orthodox Christian, connected him with a trained Orthodox exorcist and a Catholic exorcist.

Tucker later texted that their approach felt like “witchcraft” and said he would simply read the Bible on his own. One of the priests warned Dreher that Tucker was in “grave danger.”

Special Warfare Operator First Class Charles Keating IV (U.S. Navy SEAL)

On May 3, 2016, near the town of Tel Skuf, Iraq, more than 100 ISIS fighters launched a massive surprise assault using armored vehicles and suicide vehicle bombs. Charles Keating IV, affectionately known to his teammates as "Chuck Heavy," was part of a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) sent to reinforce a team of U.S. military advisors pinned down by the attack.

As local partner forces withdrew under overwhelming enemy pressure, the Navy SEALs stood their ground. Chuck led from the front, repeatedly exposing himself to intense enemy fire from a rooftop to deliver precision sniper fire and direct rocket strikes against the advancing enemy. His fearless actions helped turn the tide during the grueling 14-hour battle, eliminating numerous enemy fighters and helping save the lives of his fellow SEALs before he was mortally wounded.

Those who were with him remembered that even in his final moments, he remained true to the warrior they knew. For his extraordinary heroism and selfless sacrifice, Charles Keating IV was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross, the nation's second-highest military decoration for valor.

His teammates gave him the nickname "Chuck Heavy" because he lived every aspect of life at full intensity whether surfing, competing in athletics, training, or standing in the most dangerous place on the battlefield to protect his brothers.
