@sidecut@golang Cool! I need to update the benchmarks section. I deep dived interface values for a month after realizing some numbers were odd. This was the result — https://t.co/RMas446Iyy
This is a very interesting exploration of @golang generics by @ssakutz. It's not just a how-to-use, but a deep dive into the why of generics & how it's implemented, with comparisons to other languages.

If 16 bits defined by teens, then 16 bytes defined my last several weeks. Please enjoy this deep dive into when storing values in Go interfaces does not result in a a heap allocation, even when the value escapes to the heap! https://t.co/RMas446Iyy #golang#interface#heap
@paaleksey@MaartjeME I think your idea makes sense. It’s why my first foray was refactoring bits of controller runtime with generics. That turned into the other rep as I began collecting notes & lessons learned. Looking at your repo now, great job!
@embano1@iximiuz@RyanVasilias Thanks Michael. I also recently produced https://t.co/zTOcaHfbxt to capture part of that experience, & the "lessons learned" section highlights some points already made in this thread.
@brianpartridge I think I ordered it separately to enable TDM because I’ve hit this before. I was just saying that TDM is still supported provided you have the right cable. I tend to buy accessories when I get a new machine. Prices are easier to swallow as I’m already spending $$$ on the laptop.
@brianpartridge You mean the one with the charging brick? My cable from Apple does, but it has the little lightning bolt on it. I think it’s the USB-C Thunderbolt 3 cable

@summoningsalt Did you see in one of @GrandPOOBear ’s recent videos where someone mentions you, and all of a sudden that music that starts all your vids begins playing? It was great!
