Every high school football program should consider designating a staff member as a Recruiting Coordinator.

This role can help streamline communication with college programs and alleviate some of the recruiting-related responsibilities that often fall on the head coach.

It doesn’t require hiring an additional staff member this can be a valuable opportunity for an assistant coach to expand their role, build their résumé, and develop relationships with college programs.

Having a dedicated point person for recruiting helps ensure that athlete information, film, and communication with college coaches are organized and handled efficiently, ultimately creating more opportunities for players in the program
