Questioning the stories nations tell, the beliefs that shape them, and the power behind them.
Writing Chosen People.
Look at this. Really look at it.
Whole neighborhoods erased. Homes, schools, hospitals, infrastructure, the physical fabric of civilian life.
At what point does “war” stop being an adequate description?
A UN Commission of Inquiry has concluded that Israeli authorities committed genocidal acts with intent to destroy Palestinians in Gaza in whole or in part. You can debate the legal terminology, but you cannot look at this scale of destruction and pretend the genocide question is irrational.
🚨 This is significant.
EASA has issued a new warning over Saudi Arabian airspace following the sharp increase in Houthi missile and drone attacks.
The bulletin specifically notes that recent attacks have demonstrated the capability and intent to strike deeper into Saudi territory, including Riyadh, Tabuk and Yanbu.
This is no longer just a Yemen border-security problem.
When a European aviation regulator begins treating Saudi airspace as a conflict-zone risk, it is another indication of how far this regional war is expanding.
Worth watching very closely.
I understand the anger. Humans are capable of horrific things, including killing children. But that is exactly why we cannot strip anyone of their humanity.
The Qur’an teaches: “Repel evil with what is better.” (41:34)
Accountability matters, but dehumanization only gives the next person permission to commit another horror. If we stop seeing each other as human, the violence simply becomes an endless circle.
Mamdani reaches into the Talmud for a message about preserving life and protecting Jewish New Yorkers.
Danny Danon reaches into the same tradition for a quote to personally attack him.
One is using scripture to build a bridge. The other is using it as a weapon. That contrast says more than either speech does.
Macron isn’t simply “folding to Israel.”
France is trying to hold two positions at once: zero tolerance for antisemitism at home, while maintaining an independent line on Palestine and Israeli settlements.
The interesting question is whether that balance survives increasing pressure.
🇫🇷 Macron:
"The fight against antisemitism is one of the priorities of the Republic.
It is existential to the Republic itself, and we will never accept antisemitic remarks. Never."
France has MUCH bigger problems than antisemitism, which, of course, needs to be combated...
But the EXISTENTIAL question for the French is whether France will still be France in 20-30 years.

@SolaSixMillion You said “I’m Jewish. I’m American.”
Then you put 🇮🇱 before 🇺🇸.
Israel is a state, not a synonym for Judaism.
So yes, you exist. And that little flag order says more about the political problem than you probably intended.
@LDSGroypa@EliAfriatISR Oh god forbid.
I don’t have supremacist ideologies.
My life is equal to any.
And I am with a one state solution where all are equal and safe.
Reality check: the study you’re borrowing from does not say Islam is responsible for 96% of terrorism. It says 96.7% of Islamist attacks happened in three regions: MENA, South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. The same research found Islamist attacks were about 8% of all terrorist attacks worldwide from 1979–2019. And around 90% occurred in Muslim countries, with Muslims making up the overwhelming share of victims.
Criticize Islamist extremism all you want. Just don’t manufacture statistics to indict 2 billion people.
@MarioNawfal Comparing Hamas to the SS is a powerful soundbite, but it also does something politically useful. it turns a complicated national conflict into a WWII morality play where negotiation itself starts to look immoral. That analogy deserves scrutiny, not applause.
A diesel export ban may sound like an easy way to lower prices, but economically it risks doing the opposite. Restrict exports, hurt refinery margins, distort production incentives and push refiners toward other fuels. Even Trump’s own Energy Secretary has warned it could raise gasoline and jet fuel prices. Fix the supply problem, don’t just trap supply inside the border.
Credit where it’s due. 🇮🇳 Captain Smit Machchhar was stabbed in the cockpit and still managed to open the door, allowing others to intervene before the aircraft was safely recovered. Whatever your politics or nationality, that is courage under pressure. Respect. 🫡
Indian pilot Smit Machchhar, hailed as a hero for averting a crash of Israel-bound flydubai jet, is recovering in a hospital in Saudi Arabia where his flight was diverted after the co-pilot reportedly stabbed him mid-air in an attempt to crash the plane https://t.co/O1pzPWJAng
@Reuters Calling yourself a “proud capitalist” because Republicans called you a socialist is pure political panic. Labels aren’t policy. Tell voters what you actually plan to do on wages, housing, healthcare, taxes and corporate power. That’s the debate that matters.
