Donald Trump is too old, too convicted, too indicted, too impeached, too much of a rapist, and too much of a psycho to run for president.
The Republicans really should have a conversation amongst themselves to choose a new nominee.
@krassenstein What’s with the hoods? If you believe that firmly in something, you shouldn’t be “embarrassed“ to show your face and be afraid of repercussions. 'Proud boys' or something like that?

BREAKING: The moment Israel drops bombs on tents full of refugees, in the dark of the night, in a ‘humanitarian area’ in Rafah.
More than 35 Palestinians have been killed, mostly children burned or decapitated by the bombs.
This is a massacre.
Israel told the world that displaced Palestinians in Rafah would be safe.
Israel lied.
Tonight, Israel is burning entire families alive—among them babies.
It is an unspeakable massacre.
Sanctions and arms embargoes on Israel now.
No more hollow statements and condemnations.
“Laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that.”
“I’ve got black accountants at the Trump Castle and at Trump Plaza. Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. Those are the kind of people I want counting my money. No one else.”

Let’s say we found evidence of any gov executing men ,women and children with hands zip tied behind them - being discovered in mass graves .
Would it matter who they were ? What religion they said excused such atrocities - or what their ideological rationale was ?
Of course not. Any reasonable person would conclude they were war criminals .
Sigh... yet another post regarding disinformation:
The judge in Trump's hush money case DID NOT deny his request to attend his son Barron's graduation on May 17th.
Here's what the judge actually said:
"It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial."
The judge chose to rule on the request as they get closer to the graduation date.
And why?
Because this is a criminal trial, and Trump's schedule is not the only factor here. Far from it.
There are dozens of other people with their own personal schedules who are required to be in court on that day: jury members, officers, staff, etc.
This isn't a book club or a recreational softball game or even any given day at any given 9-to-5 office job.
It's a criminal trial.
And if this were a defendant without Trump's power and influence and money and skin color, it's not terribly certain they would get even this much consideration.
Yet, per usual, so many in political media have been abysmal in clarifying this for the public beyond inaccurate and inflammatory headlines.
And their colleagues have not been quick to correct the disinformation being spread.
This is always what happens with Trump: he outright lies about the circumstances around him, circumstances of his own doing, and many in political media just parrot his quotes without appropriate context for the public.
My personal opinion?
If it's reasonably feasible (and that's a big "if"), Trump should be able to attend his son's graduation. I would say the same for any defendant in this situation because it isn't the kid's fault.
But what should supersede that is Trump being treated like any other American facing criminal charges. He shouldn't be getting special treatment.
And that's what this comes down to for rightwing media: exploiting the good faith and empathy of most Americans for the situation of a blameless child in order to shield a grown adult from the consequences of his actions.
Barron Trump is being used as a tactical shield by his father and rightwing media to mischaracterize the actions of a fair judge who is attempting to apply the same standards to Trump as he would to any other defendant.
And once again, political media is not doing a particularly effective job in calling that out.
Get ready. This is how it's gonna be for the next seven months.
Nate White, a British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read:
“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?”
A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.
So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.
• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum.
God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.
And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.”
