Isotretinoin Treatment in Adolescence and Adult Height

In a nationwide Danish study of 379,196 individuals, isotretinoin treatment during adolescence was not associated with clinically meaningful reductions in adult height.

These findings support the skeletal safety of standard isotretinoin therapy for acne and may reassure clinicians, patients, and families.

Low-Dose Oral Minoxidil and Hypertrichosis

In a study of 105 patients, low-dose oral minoxidil commonly caused mild hypertrichosis, usually within the first 3 months.

Sideburns and temples were the most affected areas, while only 4% of patients stopped treatment because of it.

Most cases were manageable with dose reduction or cosmetic hair removal.
