Imagine you run a business that depends entirely on the public to survive and grow. Without the people, your business is no more.

Now imagine you steal from those very people, an alarm is raised, and instead of addressing the allegations, clearing your name, and doing everything possible to restore public trust for the sake of your business, you choose to threaten and intimidate them. You even go as far as filing a case against the person who raised the alarm.

And because we have already lost so much trust in the entire system, and because you are part of that same system, we already know how such a case is likely to end.

Then, boom! You look around and realise that the very society you thought you could silence has chosen to stand with the person you tried to bring down.

Dude, you really need to reflect on your actions. Ugandans may not always fight you directly or in the way you expect, but trust me, they have their own ways of responding. They may not shout, but they know how to send their message loud and clear.

And one thing is certain: Ugandans see, they understand, and they know the truth. They will always stand with those who stand for them.

Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongo @SpireJim has spent years using his voice and talents to hold power accountable as his contribution towards a better society for us all.

Instead of honoring his work, the regime is actively working to silence him through, among other oppressive tactics. A court order was recently issued against him, by which he is required to pay a total of UGX 30,000,000/= within 14 days or spend three months in prison. Why? Because he made a post on his social media platform calling out an injustice that, in the court's wisdom, amounts to contempt.

I am calling on all Ugandans of good conscience, in Uganda and abroad, to stand with Dr. Spire in whatever way we can, and help him resolve this challenge.

Dear Son, 21 years ago today, I held you in my arms for the first time.
I was still a young man myself and I remember feeling both anxious and deeply blessed. I did not have all the answers, but I knew one thing for sure; I wanted your life to be different from mine.
I wanted you to be spared the life struggles I had gone through.

Like King Solomon in the Bible, I turned to God and asked for wisdom. That is why I named you Solomon. That name was my prayer for you from the very beginning, it still is!

I had already tasted fame and some level of success, but I understood that neither of them could give a man what only God can give-wisdom.
I have always prayed that God grants you wisdom, discernment, courage, humility and a heart that knows what is right, even when the world tells you otherwise.

Today, I look at the man you have grown into and my heart is filled with gratitude. I am proud of you and I pray that you continue Walk humbly with your God, love mercy, and do justly (Micah 6:8).

As you step into the next chapter of your life, I dedicate you once again to God. May He guide your steps, protect you from the things you cannot see, give you strength when life becomes difficult, and give you the wisdom to navigate this unpredictable journey called life.

May the blessings of your ancestors walk with you and make your life a blessing to many. May your purpse be bigger than yourself.

Always carry yourself with confidence and be proud of who you are. Respect everyone, regardless of who they are, but fear no one except God.
Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated and never be afraid to stand for what is right.

This was on the eve of the January rigged election, as this criminal - a UPDF soldier, Major Emma Kuteesa encouraged gangs to attack shops and businesses owned by @NUP_Ug supporters who had displayed national flags in solidarity with our campaign. He, and his associate criminal one Maj. Gen. Christopher Ddamulira have been at it, mobilising and empowering gangs under the auspices of "the Ghetto Structure" to attack NUP supporters and commit other crimes against our people under the protection of the state.

Are we then surprised by the increasing levels of violence against citizens in Kampala and other parts of Uganda? After the regime made it clear to them that they could commit crimes in the name of protecting the Museveni regime, they chose to use the same cover to attack, rob, mob and murder citizens without consequence! Sadly, everyone becomes a potential victim, including those who cheered them on. WE NEED A RESET.

Saddened by the tragic road accident this morning that claimed the lives of two media professionals, Badru Kasirye and Isaac Ndamagye, and left Brian “Makona” Ssemanda critically injured.

I send heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and the entire Ugandan media fraternity mourning the loss of the two creatives and wish Makona a swift and full recovery. Praying for your strength and comfort during this difficult time.

May the souls of Isaac and Badru rest in eternal peace.
