@Radiolab Re: “Our Stupid Little Bodies” episode. I once served as a hospital chaplain, with a young patient suffering from infective endocarditis - an infection of the heart valves, often caused by IV drug use. It was poignant for me to think of the opioid crisis attacking our only 3.
@DylPar252 One of my theories is that people tend not to attend two weeks in a row. So if you have a high attendance week you can alternate up and down for several weeks after.
@MarEphremsVoice Photons travel through space to my eye. Does a camera and screen in the middle make a difference? Sound waves reverberate across air to my ear. So what if a microphone and speaker are involved? I receive bread and juice. Does it matter if I’m 10 inches or 10 miles away?
@DawnLynnCheck There was a vote on homosexuality in our conference in 2011 that was 80% against. My reading of our elections this year is that they were 65% conservative. So perhaps we are making progress, just not 50% yet.
The Broader Table Coalition Core Team is excited to share our recommended 2020 General and Jurisdictional Conference Slate for your prayerful consideration. This slate was developed based on survey responses from a wide variety of Clergy and Laity from across Western PA.
@KeithMcilwain Or maybe a post about traditionalists’ transparently colonial and utilitarian relationship with Africans. That may be worth writing if it wasn’t so shamefully obvious.
