FYI: before a 40mg reduction of my ADHD meds, I was never on this site & hardly tweeted. I have always had strong opinions about everything. Including things I didn’t know shit about. @VYVANSE and #ritalin helped stop me from sharing that crap.
@clairezagorski And they have managed to convince a lot of medical providers that ADHD patients are abusing meds. Also the providers seem to be genuinely afraid of the red flag system. I encountered both this past year and it was really disheartening.
Introverts get tired from socializing. Period. So even when they enjoy themselves at a gathering, they still need downtime to recharge their energy. And some interactions drain them more than others. Respect their need for solitude.
@MediocreMamaa My father prefers to move according to what ever is needed. He’s currently standing in front of the drawer with silverware. I will eat with my fingers if this continues. ☹️
@jbf1755 If any of your followers have any invites left, I’d love one. All my favorite authors are primarily on that platform now. Thank you so much! All the best!
@propublica Glad to know what it takes to get care in this country. Now what about the rest of us minions? You know the ones that are not high power lawyers.
@dianelyssa This has to be a joke account or something. And this is extremely petty but makes me think they have no idea what they’re talking about and this is just meant to rile up people and get clicks. But it’s Columbus Circle not Columbus Square.
Casting a blonde, white woman named Karen as the CEO of a health care company that makes everyone’s life miserable would be hilarious if it were not reality. Welcome to the US Health Care System.
I was told that I would become more conservative as I got older. But I don’t know if they considered that I would have to deal with insurance companies more as well - all I can say is that burning down the whole system is looking better each day.
Halloween is a true nightmare for introverts with social anxiety. What could be worse than strangers showing up at your door, at random times, asking for food.
@nytdavidbrooks I feel like this is a part of a recent trend on this site of upperclass white men complaining about the economy when in reality it’s a reflection of their specific choices. Choices that are a result of not having to make the same choices and compromises as less wealthy people.
Browning’s book Ordinary Men is a masterpiece. A masterclass in archival work and historical interpretation, but also for its implications. I have not seen the documentary, but plan to.
@Chad_G101 The coolest thing is that he told me about his archival work for this book and spending evenings walking with Raul Hilberg. The book is an absolute historical masterpiece. But, interestingly, I will always remember Browning as one of the best professor I had.
@Chad_G101 I had Browning as a professor for two classes. I had already read his book. He is brillant and kind. I add the “kind” because a lot of academics are not. I sat in his office during office hours afraid of saying something “stupid.” He put me at ease.
@emrazz And it’s hitting all ADHD drugs now. I can’t get my Vyvanse. My insurance won’t cover the brand (which is also not available) because there is a generic version but no pharmacy within a 50 mile radius has it. (Actually, I’ve tried pharmacies farther out.)
