This isn’t just a story of a soldier; it is the story of a son who chose the hardest path for India.

Shubham wasn't born into the infantry. He was commissioned into the Corps of Signals in 2018 a technical arm, a "safer" life.
But safety was never the goal.
Driven by a hunger for the frontlines, he volunteered for the toughest probation in the Indian Army. He broke his body and steel-forged his mind to earn the Maroon Beret and the "Balidan" badge.
He joined the elite 9 PARA (Special Forces) The Mountain Rats.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲: 𝗕𝗮𝗷𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗮𝗹, 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯.

Intelligence pinpointed a top-tier Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, Quari, hiding in the dense, vertical forests of Kalakote. Quari was an expert sniper and IED specialist who had plagued the valley for a year.
The terrain was unforgiving. The enemy was entrenched.
As the team closed in, they came under withering fire from point-blank range.
