@DOTP_Enjoyer_@realityacid108 Saying all this while being an admirer of the budhdhist path too. I like madhyamaka tradition, especially nagarjuna. Buddha was a great master. Few have walked the earth like him. But that is not the only highway. There are other highways too. Its simple.
@DOTP_Enjoyer_@realityacid108 He basically laid down the framework for mind purification with vedic/tantric rituals combined with devotion and then nudged people towards advaita if required.
@realityacid108 And a lot of scholars from these schools were defeated left and right when adishankara reincarnated and brought advaita to the forefron in debates.. many of those buddhist scholars converted back or left to SEA regions after the defeat. The samsara is mysterious indeed.
@realityacid108 Also, what do you think bodhi sattvas are? They are the higher-self/higher-mind... get it? and buddha was himself a bodhisattva... you see?
@realityacid108 BTW how do you know that ritual cannot purify the mind? It actually can... most people might do it wrong, but doesnt mean everybody is doing it wrong...
