Hon'ble Minister Dr. N. Marie Wilson released the Annual Credit Plan 2026-27 with a credit outlay of ₹10.98 lakh crore. The meeting was attended by Thiru M.A. Siddique, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, GoTN, Thiru Dhanaraj T., Executive Director, Indian Overseas Bank & Chairman, SLBC Tamil Nadu, along with senior executives from RBI, NABARD, State Government departments and member banks.

🌱 Increased Institutional Credit Access for Small and Marginal Farmers!

📢 In 2014-15, 57% of institutional agricultural credit was directed towards small and marginal farmers, which increased to 76.45% in 2023-24!

🚜 During the same period, credit disbursement to SMFs surged by 347%, rising from ₹3.47 lakh crore to ₹14.40 lakh crore (NABARD). This reflects the government's continued commitment to strengthening this crucial segment of the agricultural sector. 🚜💡

कृषि ऋण को बढ़ावा देने और इसे किफायती बनाने के लिए, ब्याज सब्सिडी के बजट आवंटन में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि हुई है – ₹6,000 करोड़ (2013-14) से बढ़ाकर ₹22,600 करोड़ (2024-25) कर दिया गया है!

किसान 4% की प्रभावी ब्याज दर पर ऋण प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
₹2 लाख तक के ऋण के लिए कोई संपार्श्विक (कोलेटरल) आवश्यक नहीं है। अब, सब्सिडी सीमा को भी ₹3 लाख से बढ़ाकर ₹5 लाख किया जा रहा है।

📢 Unprecedented Support for Farmers! 🌾💰

To boost agricultural credit and ensure affordability, the budget allocation for interest subsidies has remarkably increased from ₹6,000 Cr in 2013-14 to ₹22,600 Cr in 2024-25!

Farmers can get loans at an effective interest rate of 4%.
No collateral up to a limit of ₹2 lakh
Now, the subsidy limit is also being raised from the existing ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh.
