🔴Nvidia is trailing the very AI boom it's supposed to be powering:
Nvidia, $NVDA, shares are up just ~16% over the last 12 months, the weakest performer among a group of AI-linked indices tracked by Bloomberg.
By comparison, the Goldman Sachs Asia AI Bottlenecks Index has surged to as much as +250% before easing gains to ~175%.
The UBS AI Winners Index has gained ~60%, while the UBS European AI Winners Index and Bloomberg Intelligence AI Index have each risen ~40% to 50%.
Even the Goldman Sachs AI Data Centers Index, which tracks companies most directly tied to the AI infrastructure buildout, has outperformed Nvidia by ~100 percentage points.
This divergence suggests investors are increasingly looking beyond Nvidia, raising questions about whether the chipmaker can continue to capture the biggest gains from the AI boom.
Investors are no longer impressed by Nvidia.
