Disabled people aren’t interested in “conversations” with total strangers about our disabilities. The power dynamic of who gets to ask a question and who is expected to reply is rooted in ableism, racism, sexism
So DON’T #AskDontAssume
This is one of the most profound videos I’ve filmed since the rise of Trump. I asked him why he was there. Tears rolled down his cheeks. His father who was a WWII veteran (like my dad) told him “We gotta stop this guy”. He was a squadron commander and he lost 110 men and he never got a scratch. And he lived his whole life trying to be worthy of their sacrifice. And he asked me to do the same. So this is a very small thing to do. But why everyone in the country isn’t doing this and trying to understand what this man is doing to our country. I don’t get it. But everybody needs to do something to stop this guy” Please listen to every single word and share. #TrumpArraignment #Truth
Screw your astrological sign. Tell me the first album you bought with your own money. No cheating. As proof I'm telling the truth and it might surprise you: *NSYNC's No Strings Attached
@atrupar@StarTribune So sorry for your loss. I had your dad for a band teacher at Central (then Junior High) in WBL back in the early '90s. I remember thinking how cool it was that he had us play the theme to The Simpsons.
Judy Heumann dedicated her life to the fight for civil rights—starting as a young organizer at Camp Jened and later helping lead the disability rights movement. Michelle and I were fortunate to work with Judy over the years, and are thinking of her family and friends.
Judy Heumann was a pioneer and the reason why I was able to attend public school in an inclusive setting. Her tenacity to fight for what she deserved is nothing short of inspiring. It's now up to us to continue her activism and ensure her legacy.
Rest in power.
Judith Heumann was a fearless champion for the rights of people with disabilities in our nation and around the world and millions of people who have faced barriers owe her a debt of gratitude. I will always remember her as my hero and my friend. RIP Judy Heumann 🤟🏻 #beingheumann
What is it about an impending Doomsnow that makes me feel like the copious amount of perfectly acceptable food already in my house is not enough and I must get new food? In other news, this Chinese take out is delicious.
