#Apex on Netflix Review : Engaging Survival Thriller

My Rating - 3/5

95 minutes of pure survival heat.
#CharlizeTheron is locked in and lethal as a woman hunted through the Australian wilderness by a deeply creepy Taron Egerton.

Lush landscapes, sharp camerawork and some genuinely wild action sequences keep it charging forward.

The problem? It runs out of surprises and becomes predictable. Once the setup is clear, the ending plays exactly how you expect. Solid, stylish, and tense… but not as sharp as it could have been.

Before we made #VikramVedha, we had written a script called #Blood. It was almost complete. While we were discussing Blood, the idea for Vikram Vedha came up, and that's when we started developing it further.
In many ways, Vikram Vedha evolved out of Blood. It began with the same core theme, but the characters and the incidents kept changing. We held on to one central theme and one philosophy, then kept exploring different variations. It took us a while to arrive at the cop-versus-gangster dynamic.
Initially, the story was about politics and a power struggle in the real estate business. As we kept working on it, it transformed into a story involving a petty thief and a constable. Eventually, it evolved into a conflict between a cop and a gangster, where the idea of 'blood' became an important emotional thread.
If we had stayed with the political version, the film would have turned out completely differently. Instead, we focused on creating an emotionally charged and gripping relationship between the cop and the gangster. Once that dynamic was in place, we kept figuring out what the story needed and built it step by step.
