You need to define precisely each of the four words: we, have, sufficient, and wealth. Also have you ever received a stipend or generous payments you didn’t have to work for? It absolutely kills your desire to produce. Only the most intrinsically motivated , most conscientious maybe 5% would find something useful to do in the face of payments that keep them at a standard of living that approaches minimum respectability relative to their visible and local peers. I am opposed to UBI regardless of whether we can afford it. People need to serve each other. It brings meaning and dignity to existence. Taking that away is destructive and harmful. We ought to maximize people’s ability to gain income by serving not reduce the incentive to be useful.

Let's do a what if. What if it were shown to some satisfactory evidentiary standard and adjudicated in a court of competent jurisdiction, perhaps the supreme court, that elections for 20 years were grossly manipulated in one or more large states? What if it were undeniable? What remedies exist? Would this be a cause to convene a convention of states? Such efforts have long been underway with narrow scope but have not yet met the thresholds required in the consitution.

@jackcoder0 The economy consists of people wanting things and people doing things to achieve those ends. That doesn't go away. People will always trade whatever is scarce and meaningful in exchange for what is desired. Everything else can go away, firms, banks, currencies, countries.
