At 16, I was reckless, confused, and never thought I’d grow old.
At 26, I was a young father of two in a troubled marriage to an addict.
At 36, I was a broke single dad.
At 46, I had a successful business but was dying and morbidly obese.
At 56, I’m living a new life…married to a beautiful, patient woman and living a blessed life as a grandfather of two.
My relationship with God has played a huge (and growing) role. He is hope. He is my trust. Jesus died so I could live. That means my worst moments have still been a gift that could never compare to how He suffered for me.
When I’ve sought my own peace, my own prosperity, my own success… I’ve done it at the expense of others, including my wife, friends, family, clients, employers, and Him. It never produced what I wanted.
The more I live to give Him glory and I use the gifts He’s given me to serve others… even those who don’t have my interests at heart, the more He blesses me. I’m still fallen, but my faith grows with each day.
Happiest Birthday ever. Thanks to God, my wife @sstillin, my kids, friends, and my Church. ❤️🙏🏻 #JesusLovesYou
2023 has been one of the most challenging and stressful years of my life. Still, the gifts of having @sstillin, my children @billardkarr and @kaitkarr, my grandsons, my mother, and friends like @adamsmall in my life are gifts beyond this world. I am forever grateful. ❤️✝️🦃#HappyThanksgiving
Beautiful evening with @sstillin holding our second grandson, Sylvan Emery Karr. He’s a little dude… but already had a nap on his Poppa. ❤️ Being a grandfather and seeing my kids become parents overflows my heart with joy and pride. 🥹
I used to have borderline high blood pressure and my Dr said I needed to cut out #bacon. My fiancé @sstillin, instead, had me cut processed foods (which are LOADED with salt). I still eat as much bacon, and my blood pressure is normal. She gets the 💍 🤣❤️. 🥓
