I am happy to inform you that the game that I co-produced reached IGN (https://t.co/l4s2D9FMeb). It has its premiere on Steam today (https://t.co/C3RdBIHZNI). A free demo is available. It is a horror x escape room. Another closed project - looking forward to the future!
I would not like to be a CEO of CrowdStrike
today. Good thing is that in EU we have less of their product than in USA. A fair question: does it have a black swan potential?
🚨 I find this important for the CV community: Vision transformers brought some long-range pattern matching to the CV, removing some CNN limits. It came with a price. Now, we have an adaptation of (x)LSTMs to Vision called ViL. IMHO worth checking! 🔍📄https://t.co/UU4J18uI7W
Mistral is France’s answer to OpenAI. And it’s all open source.
They just threw Paris’s largest ever AI hackathon. 1,000+ hackers applied to build what’s possible with open source LLMs.
Here are the finalists from the @MistralAI x @cerebral_valley hackathon in Paris (🧵):

#googlecolab now comes with native integration for RAPIDS cuDF. To boost your code, use this single command at the top of your #NVIDIA GPU-enabled Colab notebook: %load_ext cudf.pandas
Amazing review verbatim - I'm speechless.
The computer vision community should be ashamed that this is the state of our peer review system

I am worried: Asked if future versions of OpenAI products might answer a question differently in different countries based on that country's values, Altman said, "It'll be different for users with different values. The countries issue I think, is somewhat less important."
Zoom updates its Terms of Service to become the NSA 2.0:
I'm in disbelief at this update because of how far-sweeping it is, yet here we are. Direct quotes from section 10.2
"You consent to Zoom's access, use, collection, creation, modification, distribution, processing, sharing, maintenance, storage of [ the stuff you say in meetings ] for any purpose....
... you hereby unconditionally and irrevocably assign to Zoom ... and your end users to unconditionally and irrevocably assign to Zoom all right, title, and interest in and to [ the stuff you say in meetings ], including all Proprietary rights... "
Does this strike anyone else as far-reaching, utterly insane, and totally unethical?
Gentle reminder that Google Meets is free, and that Zoom insists workers come into the office because they admit their business model only made sense in the pandemic.
You can read more about Zoom's claims to own all the stuff you say during meetings, the stuff your users say in meetings, and probably the things your children will say near your phone when it's locked here, on their website, as they commit corporate suicide:

#ZIDAS This year we managed to merge training on Colocalization with playing a board game. Nothing feels better than competing against Reviewer 3 and proving that your experimental plan works ;) Thanks to @romainGuiet@ChiguireKun@LeBIOP
