@LONTDC1@dcsportsbog It's critical to retain young fans. We used to attend 20 or so games per year in person. But my second grader was so upset that his favorite star was traded, he isn't interested in going to games anymore. Net loss? Both kids and both parents until/unless he gets back into it.
@EireannDolan Have you tried the Nats Park sensory room? It's been a godsend for my autistic kid--we go sit in there at least once every game we attend.
@wmata I've been trying to set up an account since last week and I keep getting an error message, both on the browser and on the web app. What's up? When is it going to be fixed?
@Pixelfish Then you practice as various forms of wildlife and as yourself, and let kiddo giggle about it. I find the light touch and silly story work better and are more memorable, and they give a kind way to remind later. ("Oops, you shut the door in my face! Am I a chupacabra or Mom?")
Is it terrible that I really want Andrew Listening to have been quietly observing at GrubStreet during the Larson/Dorland thing? A Bad Art Friend book about a Bad Art Friend based on real-life Bad Art Friends would be delicious. At least for the lawyers.

@courtneymilan Also, Walsh is saying that Buttigieg (who has twins) shouldn't take paternity leave, presumably because babies who don't have a lactating parent just don't need any care at all until they're old enough to eat solid foods, or something? Just... multidimensional bad take.
@summerbrennan I'm sorry. Range Cafe has enormous chocolate cream puffs, and it's a break from being at the hospital but close enough to get back quickly if necessary. I took my sister there when her kid was in NICU. The one on Menaul is closed but there's one at 320 Central SE.
@UrsulaV Albuquerque is surprisingly delightful! I'm for DC, Santa Fe, New York, Paris and Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer (France). I don't travel abroad enough to have a bunch of cool foreign options.
@RedStethoscope Oof. If you call the nurse line for triage, they can usually get you an actual appointment time at urgent care, so you can wait in the comfort of your own home until then.
@OccamRustySpoon @hello__caitlin Ah, there is in fact a cafe in Provo that sells non-coffee coffee-flavored hot beverage with added caffeine, so as to not exactly be coffee. https://t.co/LR4t0EYVQM
@TabithaMouse@LizardbethArt Yes, I definitely have shellfish! weekend! when my partner isn't there, because he's too allergic for me to eat it when we're hanging out in the same house.
@KristenCorliss Aaaaaagh no, my kids need every second of in-person learning they can get this year. But why not spend some of that federal covid money hiring more custodians and paying them better?
@courtneymilan@mikamckinnon I grew up in the town that developed the A-bomb. Plenty of scientists there said "nucular", at least before it became something used to mock Bush 43. (Not defending 43, but the western accent isn't my problem with him.)
@stuffysour This makes a lot of sense. I can't move residences and jobs at the same time, which has led to some outrageous commutes so that I can ease myself into something new without completely drowning.
