Grey headed fish eagle with a kill. This came as a surprise. We were watching a Darter, this came and sat right in front of us with its kill. People with binocs were lucky than me since I have to zoom out to bring it within the frame. Request you to listen to its call u will 💓🤪

Great Eared Nightjar is the largest species in it’s family in terms is length. They grow between 31-41 cm. Like other nightjars they are active at dusk and at night, distinctive call which includes a sharp ‘tsiik’ pause for few seconds and followed by two syllable ‘ba-haaww’.

T Malabaricus commonly known as Malabar Pit Viper or rock viper is a nocturnal venomous snake endemic to western ghats. These snakes grow upto 41 inch and the tail is prehensile. This photo shows a sub adult basking in the sun after monsoon.
