A huge thank you to our fantastic PTFA for gifting our Year 6 children their leavers' hoodies! There were lots of smiles as they proudly received them on Friday. These hoodies are a wonderful keepsake as our Year 6 pupils begin to celebrate the final weeks of primary school.
Last week, it was a privilege to join children from across our Catholic schools in Peterborough for a shared Mass, celebrating faith, unity and community together.

A huge thank you to our incredible Friends Team for organising such a fantastic Summer Fayre on Friday. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to support the event and enjoy a brilliant afternoon. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and contributed
Thank you to everyone who supported the Year 6 Bake Sale yesterday. After the fun of making cupcakes and pizza, the students got fully involved in the selling part too! We are incredibly grateful to have made around £290 to go towards Year 6 Leavers.
Wednesday saw our annual choir trip to the West End to see Matilda. Children experienced professional theatre and careers in staging, costume, lighting, effects, orchestra and performance. They were outstanding throughout the long journey and show. Thanks to staff for supporting.
After a very calm night, all children were still fast asleep at 6.45am this morning! They’ve now enjoyed a cooked breakfast and are currently busy making traps as part of their activities. A great start to day two!
Year 6 have arrived safely at Boughton Woods for their residential adventure! The weather is looking good (so far) and they’ve already started learning how to build campfires with great teamwork and enthusiasm. .
Yesterday, our Year 6 children gathered together with children from St Thomas More and Sacred Heart to celebrate the Diocese’s 50 Year Jubilee with a joint Mass. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect and celebrate as one united community.@RCEastAnglia
Year 6 had a fantastic time completing their First Aid course this week. The children learnt valuable life-saving skills including CPR, recovery positions and how to respond in an emergency. We were incredibly impressed with their focus and enthusiasm throughout!
Year 2 completed their DT sewing unit last week. The children learned a running stitch and used it to design and make felt pouches — with many even adding a button for extra detail. With thanks to

Year 4 smashed their final unofficial MTC practice — brilliant results that put them in a strong position for the official check in a few weeks. Huge credit to their hard work and dedication this year.
Huge well done to Mr Longden for completing the London Marathon yesterday in an incredible 4hrs 52mins.
A brilliant achievement, made even more special by raising money for Crohn’s and Colitis.
Today we had a wonderful second visit from our local care home residents to St JHN this morning. Children and residents enjoyed refreshments together and a game of bingo! Following the visit, we were delighted to receive the kind email attached from the care home.
A fantastic milestone for our school today: over 85% of children chose a school-cooked meal, our highest ever recorded uptake! This reflects not only the quality of the meals on offer, but also the positive lunchtime culture in school. Well done to everyone involved!
Today it was lovely to see our Mini Vinnies group welcoming residents from our local care home for a special afternoon tea today, following a series of visits to the care home. It was a wonderful opportunity to truly live out our values of kindness and service in action.

This week Reception had a fantastic trip to Peterborough Museum, exploring bones and fossils. The children were full of curiosity, asking brilliant questions and behaving beautifully throughout—future palaeontologists in the making!
