Pain begets in each human his own understanding. The principles, laws, et al. of the universe cannot be learned unless there be discomfort, even to the soul. Understanding cannot be taught; it can only be learned.

Until the Church teaches Christians the importance of self-love and healthy self-esteem before teaching them about “the blessings,” the Body of Christ will continue to sabotage itself—first the individual, then others within it.
