MR PETER OBI AT 65!
Today, I join millions of Nigerians and admirers across the world in celebrating an extraordinary leader, mentor, and patriot, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, as he marks his 65th birthday.
Your Excellency, your life has become a powerful reminder that politics can still be anchored on integrity, public service can still be driven by compassion, and leadership can still be defined by accountability rather than privilege.
In an era where many young people have become disillusioned with governance and public institutions, you have rekindled hope in an entire generation. You have inspired countless young Nigerians, myself included, to believe that patriotism is not merely expressed through words, but through active citizenship, responsible engagement, and an unwavering commitment to building a better nation. Through your example, many have come to understand that loving Nigeria also means demanding excellence, embracing sacrifice, and holding leaders accountable.
One of your greatest legacies is the values you have consistently embodied. Your unwavering commitment to transparency has shown that public resources are sacred and must always be managed with prudence.
Your respectable conduct in public life has demonstrated that one can disagree without being disrespectful, remain firm without becoming hostile, and lead with dignity even in the face of relentless provocation.
You have also reminded Nigerians that leadership must always be people-centred. Whether speaking about education, healthcare, security, poverty reduction, or economic development, your message has remained consistent: government exists to improve the lives of ordinary citizens, not to serve the interests of a privileged few. That consistency has earned you the respect of many, even beyond political affiliations.
Perhaps what distinguishes you most is your political integrity. In a political environment where principles are often sacrificed for convenience, you have remained remarkably steadfast. You have demonstrated that character is not situational and that credibility is built over decades of making difficult but principled decisions. Your commitment to accountability, fiscal discipline, humility, and service continues to set a standard to which many aspiring leaders now look.
As someone who has drawn immense inspiration from your leadership and values, I am grateful for the example you continue to set. Your influence extends far beyond elections or political office. You have helped shape a civic awakening among young Nigerians, encouraging many of us to participate more actively in the democratic process, to reject cynicism, and to believe that our country can indeed become greater through principled leadership and collective responsibility.
As you celebrate this remarkable milestone, my prayer is that God grants you continued good health, wisdom, strength, and peace. May He preserve your life for many more years of impactful service to our nation and humanity.
May your voice continue to inspire hope, your example continue to shape future generations, and your legacy continue to remind us that leadership is ultimately about service, sacrifice, and the courage to always do what is right.
Happy 65th Birthday, Your Excellency.
Thank you for inspiring a generation to believe that Nigeria is worth believing in, worth serving, and worth fighting for.
May your best years of service and impact still lie ahead.
Happy Birthday Mr. Peter Obi

A Birthday Made Brighter by the Bravery of Our Troops at FGGC Monguno, Borno
I wish to extend my profound appreciation and highest commendation to the gallant members of our Armed Forces who successfully thwarted a grave kidnapping attempt at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, Borno State, in the early hours of today, July 19, 2026, at about 1:30 a.m.
Their prompt, decisive, and courageous intervention prevented what could have been a devastating national tragedy and saved many innocent students from the trauma of abduction. This act of bravery underscores the remarkable capability, resilience, and patriotism that our security personnel demonstrate when properly supported and equipped.
Educational institutions must remain safe havens for learning and development, not targets for criminal elements. Every Nigerian child deserves the opportunity to pursue education without the fear of abduction or violence.
While we celebrate this successful operation, it also reminds us of the urgent need to move beyond a reactive security posture towards a more proactive, intelligence-driven approach. Our security agencies must be provided with the necessary resources, motivation, and modern technology to detect and prevent threats before they occur.
My sincere gratitude goes to our troops for their dedication, courage, and sacrifice. My thoughts are with the students, their families, and the entire FGGC Monguno community.
As I mark my birthday today, this successful rescue effort is a gift that gladdens my heart — a reminder that, despite our challenges, there are still men and women who stand daily in defence of our nation and its future.
We must continue to support them and remain united in our collective pursuit of a safer and more secure Nigeria. -PO
Happy Birthday in Advance, Peter Obi.
My brother,
In a country where many people don stop expecting anything from their leaders, you somehow make millions believe say better Nigeria still possible.
Well done.
That no be small thing.
The eyes of the witches no go see you.
The hands wey no want progress no go touch you.
The mouths wey profit from confusion no go silence you.
Because whether people like am or not, you forced a generation to ask questions.
You force young people to believe say governance fit be about service and not ownership.
And na there wahala start.
Because as citizens begin think for themselves, na that day those wey benefit from their suffering must begin lose sleep.
So, Dem fit insult you.
Dem fit twist your words.
Dem fit attack your supporters.
Dem fit try turn hope into crime.
But hope no be crime.
As you add another year, may your strength increase.
May your courage multiply.
And may your love for this country survive all the attacks, insults, and distractions.
For dey are simply scavengers
Nigeria still need voices wey no dey fear to tell power the truth.
Happy Birthday, my brother.
I need 1million Birthday wishes for Peter.
Una fit?
FIFA World Cup: A Gallant Finish
The FIFA World Cup concluded successfully today, with the best team emerging victorious.
This is yet another fitting birthday gift, further demonstrating that the youth have not only arrived but are proving that excellence, when given the opportunity, will always prevail.
Today, competence, capacity, character, and capability were on full display. It is a powerful reminder that when young people are properly nurtured, entrusted with responsibility, and given the opportunity to lead, they deliver outstanding results.
This is the spirit we must replicate across every sector of our national life. A New Nigeria is Possible, and it must be reflected in every endeavour that brings pride, progress, and honour to our nation. -PO
