@GreatBritishTT IHT on farmers is hardly worth it in the face of that level of over-spend. It’s not like the tax will head off the inflation that will now be baked in, they might as well borrow to the hilt now and let prices rip. That’s what comes next anyway
@kittyraethomp@CEN_HQ@Prosperity_Inst Climate change is a slow burn issue compared to what it is used to cover up
Miliband wouldn’t be saying the words ‘national security’ to push renewables if he didn’t know the reason they won’t mention. I don’t entirely blame him, but I think it’s past the point where it matters
@DanielJHannan Does that mean it takes 70 years for the lesson to be learnt? An entire lifetime? All those who put them on the path to misery have to die off before change can happen. That really is depressing. Looking forward to the 2068 uk turn around then
@Landeur If Labour were a quality party with good people at the top, they’d crash and burn. They are simply the wrong side of the political spectrum for the economic situation the country faces.
But they aren’t a quality party with good people at the top, so it’ll be messy
@JuliaHB1@AllisonPearson They hope he will make stories for them in the media, succeeding and failing will suit them just fine, the more chaos the better for them…
